At the foundation of all God’s creation is the loving care of a Maker who delights in every creature on earth. Even the most common birds, hardly worth noticing to humans, are kept in God’s loving care. If you can hold in your heart an image of the care of God for the most ordinary, unspectacular birds, then consider how deeply He cares for you and the people around you.
If every bird is held in God’s loving gaze, then He surely loves every person as well. How would you pray differently today if you could fathom even a small part of God’s love for you? And beyond changing your prayers, you can also uncover a greater depth of love and compassion for the people around you as creations God also loves. If you are able to receive God’s love today, then surely you can also share that love with everyone else in your circles who may not realize how deeply He cares for them.
Prayer: Jesus, help me to remember Your Father’s love for me. May I share that abundant love with those around me today.
