We all hope. We hope for things to happen and this is so wether or not they are right or wrong.

I can remember the last time I hoped. I t was two years ago. Then I used to suffer from a mental disorder called OCD obssesive compulsive disorder. I used to live in a slum. Life was unbearable. I was an agressive fellow. So, I hoped that by the end of the month, I would be able to save enough money to rent a new apartment. Today, I am in my new home. It's a beauty; it's neatness and order satisfies my desires. I am happy.

In life, what are your hopes? People's hopes vary from one thing to another. Some people hope to meet their soulmate, others hope to be re-united with their family members, others hope to be popular and wealthy, others hope to have a happy family, others hope for a new life different from their horrific past, others hope to live long, others hope to die prematurely, others hope to enter the kingdom of God, others hope for friends and people to care for them, others hope to break loose from bondages, others hope to belong to society and not be discriminated against, others hope to have one final word with their loved ones, others hope to turn the hands of the clock back to happier times, others hope to achieve their dream careers, others hope for peace, others hope for an effective democracy, others hope to be welcomed, others hope for crisis, while others are happy to survive life's worst moments.

How do we achieve our hopes? The scripture says that to trust in God and put your faith in him is the only key to the achievement of hope. Faith and works must correspond.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Psalm 77

I cry aloud to God,
aloud to God, and he will hear me.
In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying;
my soul refuses to be comforted.
When I remember God, I moan;
when I meditate, my spirit faints.

I think as long as we seek GOD's heart and His will, we will know what to hope for. That is, our priorities will be right. Our first hope should just about to be transformed into the likeness of Christ our Savior. Our hope should be to walk purely before His eyes each day at a time. Our hope should be to reach the lost with the Gospels of Christ Jesus. These are 3 of the most greatest concerns we should have.

Hey Iniesta

Beautiful words from the heart.
When I lived in Mexico, before Christ, hope was :
- having food that night in my stomach.
- Being able to open my eyes to another day and be alive.
- makin it through the day without being beaten up again.
Then He (Jesus Christ) came into my life and everything else became secondary.
Now there was a yearning for sharing that new found hope. It's hard to explain......
NOW the days are still hard but now I have a new inner hope that cannot be taken away by earthly conditions. PTL!!!!!!!!!

Now living in Canada PTL!!!!!!!!!
The testimony of my brother in Christ.

"There is no medicine as effective, no inspiration as great, no tonic for life as powerful, as hope for tomorrow."

"Hope is to hear tomorrow’s music today; faith is to dance to the melody of that music."

Thanks for posting.
