1 Peter 1:15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;
Holiness is God's Holy (set apart) nature. God is Holy. Taking God's holiness upon ourselves results in our sanctification, which is us being separated unto God.

"Christians are already holy unto God by consecration; they must be so also in their outward walk and behavior in all respects. The outward must correspond to the inward man."
