Hi! I feel like I'm not born again, but I do want to believe in Jesus. I prayed that I would believe today and I came across a verse in the NLT bible:

Matthew 6:33 NLT
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

This message really speaks to me. I joined here to have greater faith. I feel I have lost my faith since I was a kid, but now I'm older and I feel Satan has a foothold on me. If anyone could, I'd like help believing Jesus died on the cross. That part I'm struggling with. I believe in Love, so I must believe in Jesus, but for me it's hard to believe Jesus died on the cross and rose for some reason. Probably Satan's foothold on me... Any help would be appreciated.

I am praying now, trusting and believing that the Lord, who saved me, will open your heart and eyes to what He did for you on the cross.

Lord Jesus thank You for leading oneiroer to this site. Thank You that you love him so much that You died to save him.
Lord open his heart to Your love shown on the cross for him, melt his heart with that love until he turns to you in repentance and surrender of his life.
Thank You dear Lord Jesus....this matter can be left safely in Your hands.

Thank you for your replies everyone. I feel I am coming closer to a relationship with Him. I feel I talked to Him a little earlier today and I felt comforted.
Edit: Just to let you know I'm reading the Bible in my own way. I've got the NLT version and am taking notes as I go along.
