Hello. My name is Daniel. I am not a Christian but my wife has become one and I'm more or less just looking for answers, tips, anything. I am not looking for debate which is against the rules anyway. I just want to be the best husband I can be.

Well, hello frustrated!
I know how you must feel, because I lived it myself. I went to the same Church for 30 years and was called a Christian, and, didn't know it at the time but I wasn't even close. So, I am sharing and not debating.

I had it all: beautiful loving "Real Christian" wife, 2 wonderful sons, a great Daughter-in -Law, perfect Grandson,nice house, boats, cars....just about everything, but I was frustrated! Being in and out of Church for 30 years and a practicing "bench warmer", I knew of God and Jesus but didn't know them.

That all changed abruptly one day while sitting on a bow stand and hunting deer. If you were to know anything about bow hunting, it would be that being still and quite is a must, and the stillness sometimes can be almost deafening!

Psalm 46:10 says:
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

And, from my perspective, nothing could be more true. In the very stillness of the morning and in my frustration, I spoke out to God: I told him I had everything but was empty inside and was tired of being frustrated over it and that it must be him that I was lacking. I asked him to take over my life, take away my sins and put me on the right track.

I can't recall if it was days, minutes or seconds, but I became a believer and my life has never been changed more.

Do I still get frustrated. Sometimes, I look at it as reverting back to some of my old humanoid traits, but it is different! I quickly remember "that day", who God is and that it is all real. I now have the advantage of knowing more of His word, almost daily, and it strengthens me and increases my understanding of God and my faith in Jesus Christ....With out his word, it would impossible for me to grow as a Christian.

So, is your frustration similar to mine, I have know way of knowing. But, I do know this: I now know God and Jesus personally. Like St. Paul says, "we only know in part" and believe me, knowing just a part of God and Jesus is a millions times better than just knowing of them.

Oh yes, by far, being a true "Born Again " Christian, is making me into a much better Husband, Father and Grandfather!

God Bless Daniel!
