This is my first thread on here, actually first thread ever. I found this website while I was looking for answers to questions that I have. Maybe you guys can help me out. I considered myself a Christian pretty much all of my life. A year ago I rededicated my life to Christ, got Baptized and recieved the Holy Spirit. I was doing great up until about 6 months ago. I was chillin on my recliner just reading the bible and praying when all of a sudden a thought entered my mind. It was like I could physically feel it pop into my mind, and for no reason what-so-ever. I had never had this thought and never thought I would. I believe it was the devil or one of his demons. The thought was a question, Does God or Jesus really exist? And it has stuck with me ever since. I mean, its common sense that He does, but it is like there is a void a depression that I cannot get rid of. I don't feel like a Christian, I feel like if I died or Jesus came back, I wouldn't make it into Heaven. I absolutely hate it. I've prayed constantly to Jesus that He would rid it of me, commanded it to leave me in the Name of Jesus, but it still haunts me. Ever since this happened, I have stuggled with many other things. I just need some help from someone who is stong in their faith because I want a faith like that! I want nothing more than to give Jesus my all, but something is holding me back. Its that stinkin thought/void. Sorry this is so long since it is my first post. Thanks!

Hi Brother 'love from above' You are welcome here.

You need to rebuke this by addressing it in the Holy Spirit. Begin to speak in tongues loudly and profusely and rebuking it in the Name of Jesus.

1 John 2:13. 14. Children, Young men and Fathers and spoken of in these verses. But it is not about chronological age it is about spiritual age. Also the word men is used in a generic way to describe each if us male and female.

The special privilege of Young Men is to Overcome. Young men busily involved in the battle of Christian Living. No longer babes but growing up in Jesus they have moved into the next stage and discover the wars we have to fight.

Realising Christian Life is not just about fellowship and forgiveness and knowing Jesus, It is about fighting the war.

We know the forgiveness of past sin, that is now followed by deliverence from present sin - justification is followed by sanctification.

It is in the early years of young manhood that the battles are faced

God is with you.

Thanks Stephen. I appreciate your concern. I haven't ever spoke in tongues. I know its a very good thing to do though. I've tried but just havent broke the barrier yet.

That devil is our post-Christian society that whispers in your ear every day that there is no God.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone here, but the Pentecostal faith is not very sustainable itself. If your faith comes from miraculous signs, like tongues, when you realize that gibberish is just gibberish, your faith will take the blow.

Built your faith on this: Jesus overcame death so that we may overcome death. This is our hope. Those outside of Christ have no hope. Denying God is absolute foolishness.
