"For there will be a time when they will not put up with sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up for themselves teachers, tickling their ears."
[2 Timothy 4:3]

The time is here, and there`s a whole lot of heaping going on.

"Any of it [teaching] that is good is in the Word of God, and any that is not in the Word of God is not good. I am a Bible Christian and if an archangel with a wingspread as broad as a constellation shining like the sun were to come and offer me some new truth, I'd ask him for a reference. If he could not show me where it is found in the Bible, I would bow him out and say, 'I'm awfully sorry, you don't bring any references with you'" (Counterfeit Revival, p. 67). A.W. Tozer.

Remember

* Signs and wonders could be a work of God, but they could also be the work of false prophets (see Deuteronomy 13:1; Revelation 13:11-14; 16:14; 19:20).

* Miracles, prophecy, and the casting out of demons are indeed the works of true ministers, but these ministries can also be done by workers of iniquity (see Matthew 7:21-23).

* A church can be very evangelistic, but so were the Pharisees (see Matthew 23:15 and consider the evangelistic nature of cults).

* Miraculous signs were done by Christ and His apostles, but they were also done by, "...the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan…" (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

* The preaching of the gospel of salvation is one of the greatest stewardships a minister has today. But there are those who call their message "the gospel," yet they preach what God's word calls "another gospel" (see 2 Corinthians 11:4; Galatians 1:6-8).

* Every true minister of Jesus Christ should be "filled with the Holy Spirit." But the Scriptures tell us that there are more "spirits" than the Holy Spirit that can fill people (see Luke 4:33; Acts 16:16; Romans 8:15 and 11:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 2 Corinthians 11:4; 1 Timothy 5:21; 2 Timothy 1:7; 1 John 4:3, 6).

* The ministries of giving for the work of the gospel, prayer, and fasting are all mighty tools in the furtherance of God's kingdom. But these things can be done by hypocrites as well (see Matthew 6:2, 5, 16).

* Prayer is a mighty weapon for the cause of Christ, but not every prayer offered up to God is going to be regarded by Him (see Psalms 66:18; Isaiah 1:15 and 59:2, 3; Micah 3:4; Matthew 6:5, 7 and 23:14; 1 Peter 3:7).

Oh, can't you see what a mess we're in? What we've done to the Gospel? And when those "converts" no longer want to fellowship with us, when they want to go back to their old friends and their old way of life, we have the nerve to call it "backsliding," when we stood in the very way of them ever "front-sliding" toward the cross! Oh, it breaks my heart to think of that awesome day, when God will judge those who have "stumbled one of these little ones." (Mark 9:42).

True there are many in error and darkness.
Our spirit will bear us witness when something is of God and as His sheep we willl know His voice.
So we need not live in fear but must always speak the truth in love.
If we do not speak the truth in love then we are not expressing Hus heart.
If we do see those in darkness then it is our job to lift up Jesus and He will draw many into the light.

:)

Many are easily deceived,
This is because many don't know Christ's true face, many aren't in a daily relationship with Jesus.

His sheep hear his voice.

I really like this Coconut, it reminded me of something someone else said in a book.

Religion as culture and what emerges is a religious culture. People
learn to be "Christians" like they learn to be Americans or Chinese or
what ever cultural group they happen to belong to. They learn the
beliefs, words, behaviors and activities that go with that particular
brand of religion. The results are multitudes of religious people who
appear to be Christians, but are complete strangers to the new birth.

Excerpt from "Light In This Present Darkness" by Phil Enlow

Father, Son and HolySpirit are the most misrepresented on earth today.
I made a comment earlier today on another forum, that I find a religious self more disgusting than a worldly self.

I know of a church where the pastor is lost. Anything goes as long as people get along and love each other. Doesn't matter if you live together or drink alot, nothing matters but being a loving group. There is no sin except being mean I guess. Where do they get their theology degree from??? Makes me wonder.

This is called the inclusion gospel of the lost!
They get it from just filling in the answers in school, academia.

Interesting that the link provided in the OP was allowed. It is from a website that professes to be prophetic.

Their goal is to be prophetic to the Church first and foremost and on a secondary basis, evangelize!

Evangelism needs to be first and foremost for any ministry.

People rail against the Church, but what they fail to see is that they themselves are the problem, offering nothing but critical diatribes and negativity, calling out incessantly the flaws they see. I call that alarmism.
It is neither salt nor light.

Many are easily deceived,
This is because many don't know Christ's true face, many aren't in a daily relationship with Jesus.

Samuel, while that is true, it is nothing new since Christ. It is our job to make sure we are not deceived, and to follow after Jesus, not pointing self-righteous fingers at everyone and everything we see that we think is wrong, but spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and of the victory that He brings to our lives!

His sheep hear his voice.
Yes! Amen!

John 10:27
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
