Her Father's Lap

The sun glistened on the water,
creating crystals of shining light.
She stood there, smiling,
her sandy hair flapping in the breeze.

A dog ran to her,
licked her welcoming hand.
A butterfly fluttered from flower to flower,
bringing another smile to her lips.

The woman sat with her feet
dangling off the dock and into the coolness.
Her laughter bounced off the mountains
as if she were a child again.

But she was.
She played on her Father's lap
while His arms protected her
and He showed her His creation.

Wow!
This is truly a beautiful poem. You gave a perspective that not everyone can see and expressed it in an astonishing manner.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

God bless you Jen.
Love, your sister,

Very good poem

Hi,
I just wanted to say your poem was great. I also write poems so it's good to look at others and compliment on their style. I liked the imagery and the way you describe you can almost picture it . Also how it shows how wonderful and mighty god creations are.
