  1. My story

I was saved in 1963. Guess what the Lord planted me right next door to my teacher, mentor, EXPLAINER, Nancy Hawkins. We moved in maybe a year before I accepted Christ. Nancy has said about my life BC (before Christ) “You had a dark cloud about you”. She witnessed my transformation. No dark cloud ever again. Love lifted me! Nancy was a built in Jesus person. RIGHT NEXT DOOR. How thankful I am for her. How great is that?

    Where are you Nancy Hawkins?

I would go to her AC (after Christ) with questions. I had never been churched. New NOTHING about being a Christian.

I remember one thing we always said to one another. I want to pass on to you dear mackem lady.

    She would quote to me.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:

Then she would ask me WHY.

    And I would say CAUSE

he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3 KJV

    Till next time

BTW: I have had a “IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE” in the Lord Jesus Christ. Quoting - my ODE To Verse Lady. by Helen K.

  2. Acts 2:38

Dear ML I beleive that the help your seeking begins at ACTS: 38
Repent and be baptised.....in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy spirit.
Jesus died for every confessed sin.
So once you have asked God forgivenss for your sins and make a decision to follow Jesus forever, you baptise in water in Jesus name and receive the Holy Spirit which brings you into the family of God.
ROMANS 8:9 ......Now if any..have not the Spirit of Christ, he is NONE of his.

Love and prayers to you ML

"Submit yourselves therfore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you" James 4.7-8

Don't give up, I have been right where you are a few years ago and I know how hard it can be. I have had a lot of the same problems (evil oppressive thoughts, unhealthy fear of death, alcoholism, ect.). I wanted to believe and be freed so badly. Have you accepted Jesus and given yourself to him yet? That is the first step. You must believe that Jesus loves you so very much and he was sent into this world for people just like you. You can have freedom in him if you really want it.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me;for I am gentile and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yolk is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11.28-30

I pray that you would come to know Jesus and he would take you into his rest. That your sins would be lifted from you, and you would be filled with his love and assurance. May God bless you with all of his heart!

  5. I also have a very good book recommendation for you. Its called "Victory Over the Darkness" by Neil T. Anderson. I cannot recommend this book enough. It helps you realize and establish a firm identity of who you are in Christ and it is very liberating.

  6. A few verses I like

    The Message

He knows us inside and out,
keeps in mind that we're made of mud.
    Psalm 103:14
    ………………………………………………….

    The Message

Jesus heard about it and spoke up, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting outsiders, not insiders—an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out."
    Luke 5:32
    ………………………………………………………………….

    The Message

Jesus, overhearing, shot back, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? Go figure out what this Scripture means: 'I'm after mercy, not religion.' I'm here to invite outsiders, not coddle insiders."
    Matthew 9:13
    ………………………………………………………………………………..

    The Message

Jesus, overhearing, shot back, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting the sin-sick, not the spiritually-fit."
    Mark 2:17
    ……………………………………………………………

    The Message

No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through
    1 Corinthians 10:13

THROUGH IT ALL, I’VE LEARNED TO TRUST IN JESUS (song or hymn)
    ……………………………………………………………………………..

    The Message

Simon answered, "I suppose the one who was forgiven the most."
"That's right," said Jesus. Then turning to the woman, but speaking to Simon, he said, "Do you see this woman? I came to your home; you provided no water for my feet, but she rained tears on my feet and dried them with her hair. You gave me no greeting, but from the time I arrived she hasn't quit kissing my feet. You provided nothing for freshening up, but she has soothed my feet with perfume. Impressive, isn't it? She was forgiven many, many sins, and so she is very, very grateful. If the forgiveness is minimal, the gratitude is minimal.”
    LUKE 7:47
    ……………………………………………………………………………………..

    The Message

It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.
    Hebrews 11:6
    ……………………………………………………

    The Message

But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That's why Scripture exclaims,
A sight to take your breath away!
    Grand processions of people
telling all the good things of God!
But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all ask at one time or another: "Does anyone care, God? Is anyone listening and believing a word of it?" The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ's Word is preached, there's nothing to listen to.
    Romans 10:17
    ……………………………………………………………………………………

    The Message

He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.
    Ephesians. 2:10
    ……………………………………………………………………………………

    The Message

Whoever goes hunting for what is right and kind
 finds life itself—glorious life!…
    Proverbs 21:21
    …………………………………………………………………………………

I ask you to let ML experience a taste of your godly joy which is her strength in Jesus name amen
Thank you Jesus for answering my request
For you are good and your mercy endures forever

    Keep going with Jesus ML!
HE will show you what you need to see and know in due time.

  9. I know you have The Message listed as yo

    The MESSAGE

I'll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

    Jeremiah 29:11

  10. These verses dear to my heart from one w

    THE MESSAGE

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.

    Zephaniah 3:17

    The MESSAGE

Then those whose lives honored GOD got together and talked it over. GOD saw what they were doing and listened in. A book was opened in God's presence and minutes were taken of the meeting, with the names of the GOD-fearers written down, all the names of those who honored GOD's name.

    Malachi 3:16

    THE MESSAGE

I treat them with the same consideration and kindness that parents give the child who honors them. Once more you'll see the difference it makes between being a person who does the right thing and one who doesn't, between serving God and not serving him."

    Malachi 3:17

  13. Replying to yours ml

    Dear ML
It was good to hear from you. And I thank God with all my heart that you are seeking HIM. I pray you continue to seek HIS will and the righteous way of life and hence, eternal life for which purpose you were created.
I will re-send those scripture verses for you as soon as possible.

Also, having a friendship with this guy is not adultery , however, because of the problem you have with adultery and also because of the way men and women are made up by God to have close relationships, I strongly advise that you do NOT continue any relationship with this man, since I am sure you can see that it wont be long now before you become intimate

    ADULTERY includes the following:
    1) Sexual involvement with anyone outside of marriage.
    2) Sexual involvement with anyone other than your husband.
    3) Sexual involvement with married persons, if they are with their
    spouse or separated.
    4) Sexual involvement of unmarried persons.
    5) Lust in a sexual way in your mind with someone.

Hope this is helpful and I pray God send you His love so you can break this habit of adultery in Jesus name amen. Thank you Jesus for answering my prayer.

    Love in Jesus
    Lizabe

  14. Some verses

    Dear ML
Here are a few verses of scripture concerning adultery/fornication/whoremonger - these are all in the category of ADULTERY.

    I THESSALONIANS 4:3-5
    I CORINTHIANS 6: 13-19
    I CORINTHIANS 7: 1-2
    I CORINTHIANS 10: 8
    GALATIANS 5: 19-25
    EPHESIANS 5: 3-5
    COLOSSIANS 3: 5-6
    REVELATION 21: 8

Take your time and read them. They are all in the NEW TESTAMENT.
It is a very serious sin as you actually sin against your OWN BODY when you indulge in adultery.
    Be encouraged!!!!

    Love in Jesus
    Lizabe

  15. I also believe that having an emotional attachment to someone other than your spouse is adultery because it can lead to more physical things. That is why I try not to have intimate conversations with men when my husband isn't present. I know we as women are more emotional beings to so degree more than men so we need to keep this in mind.

Right, we can't always trust ourselves and say we are strong enough not to fall into temptation... Satan is just around...

Our emotion is Satan's best weapon...

    Remember:
    Lust
    Pride
    Anger
    Rage
    Envy
    Greed
    Sloth
    Selfishness
    Depression
    Anxiety
    Insecurity
    Loneliness
    and so on...

Better flee like Joseph than be trapped in sin forever.

  17. how do you flee. what does that mean pls. How do you stop emotions they just come? pls help me understand this thing.
thx for the verses lizabe I will read them.

i dont understand also when prayers is not answered when lots is praying. my friend Amanda is pregnant and baby at risk will praying help. my friend julia who is on this forum has sick daughter will prayers be answered.
my mind is so full of questions. thanx for help. so confused

  18. Replying to you ml

    Dear ML
You cannot flee from your emotions. I beleive the person meant, flee from the situation that would cause sin , as I Corinthians 6:18 says: FLEE fornication [adultery]. So the situation your in with the married man at present, for example, flee from him= let him go, before you commit adultery with him. Thats it put simply.

Many prayers are answered ML, but not at the time we look for it and not the way we look for it, ISAIAH 55 says:: God's ways are not our ways = we look for things our way and sometimes God works it out differently and at a different time. Hope this helps.
JESUS healed me from a deathly illness after being bedridden for 15years, I took no medication. JESUS is real and alive!!
