I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and say I am so glad that Jesus died for me. I have been studying a lot about the Passion of Christ and the Lord has made it so personal for me. After years of being in Sunday School, Church, Youth Activities, Bible Study, Church Camp (you get the picture) I never "Got It" that Jesus died for me, personally. It never registered with me that every lie I told, every bad word I said, every mean thought, every disrespect to my parents, etc. were what nailed Christ to the cross.

It has been such a humbling experience for me. To think that Jesus was in Heaven with His Father and chose to come to Earth and suffer and die for me and be so seperated from his Father at the moment of His death that this was the only time He ever referred to God as anything other than Father, is just mind-blowing to me. My human mind and heart cannot comprehend the love and sacrifice that took.

I hope I never loose the sense of wonder and gratitude I feel in my heart today. I am so excited to be a Christian, I can hardly sit still. I can't stop talking to people about Him. I want everyone to know Jesus.

Thank you for allowing me to be here with you.

Yours until He comes,

JB

Hello JB. Welcome to Talk Jesus. Isn't it exciting when the message of the Gospel makes the 18" trip from your intellect to your heart? There's an old Andre Crouch song that says it very well, "When He was on the cross, you were on His mind."

By the way, you will never lose the sense of wonder and gratitude over what Christ has done for you unless you allow the world to muscle in and take over in your life. When you give your life over to Jesus on a day-by-day basis, that wonder and gratitude will be available to you always.
