am new to this site was inspired by some of threads that revealed the love of God through you guys.
the past few months have been difficult ,i am a christian married to a Jehovah's Witness. My wife shocked me by disappearing with all our children in February 2012 and going into hiding.I was not physically abuse to her and had used a slipper to discipline our 15 year old boy who was being rude.
my wife was angry and left saying it was for his safety i must add i did hit my son who is taller than me as he has become extremely disobedient especially to his mother.
My wife told me when i found her 11 days later that Jehovah told her to leave and that he would tell her when to come back.
I approached the courts and got an order allowing me to have my children half of the week currently 3days a week. But my wife was saying she does not want to see or be with me.However in a few weeks she was coming home at least weekly and we were being intimate.I was happy believing that we were on the right track.
My pastor told me it was not wise to be having sex under these conditions and said I must wait until we are truly reconciled. But i did not listen.
Now 7 months later i am tired of these escapes where we meet 1 to 3 times a week for sex,
I feel that i am making a mistake but am in conflict about denying her as my wife but also denying myself.
We are now having weekly marriage counselling and my wife says she is not ready to come back. She leaves after sex and i feel used.I LOVE HER.Now when i call her she tells me to leave her alone but then calls me in a few days asking me if i want to be intimate.
I believe my wife is seriously deceived how can she be with me one day saying she enjoys being with me then the next day does not want to even hear from me.Am i lying to myself ,she says Jehovah does not want divorce and so she does not either.
I love my kids and i do not know how to hear from God about what to do.I pray some of you have some Godly insight on the way forward.

Welcome to the forum brother.
I am certain we can point you in the right direction where some things are concerned but there are so many variables in each situation that all you can do is develop that way of seeing through God's eyes.

I love my kids and i do not know how to hear from God about what to do.I pray some of you have some Godly insight on the way forward.
The fact that you see this and seek clarity leads me to believe God is already speaking to you.

God can and will change someones heart and he uses ordinary peoples actions, faith and prayers to do it.
If you believe in freewill then we can't really believe God can change a heart.
However the word taken as a whole challenges our notion of freewill.

Romans 11:32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.

Proverbs 21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Proverbs 20:24 A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?

Some of these verses lend the idea that our concept of freewill may be somewhat flawed at the very least.
If I thought anyone had any real say in their lives I don't think I would bother to pray for them at all, well maybe just a short prayer to fulfill my obligations. Not with any kind of belief my prayer will be answered because it would be more up to the person than God.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

I will believe with you for your wife.
There is a great help for your situation at this site.

BABABB, welcome to Talk Jesus. If you open a serious marriage issue like this up to public input, I suspect you are only going to feel pulled in even more directions than you are now....at least it is an invitation for others to add any emotional baggage they may have to your own. It is wise to seek counsel the counsel of godly men in your situation, but not so wise to open your marriage to the scrutiny and input of every Tom, ****, Harry...and Jane...you run the risk of getting some very detrimental advise...that if followed, may be the straw that breaks the camels back. If you truly feel you need more counsel than you have been getting at home, may I suggest you discuss this privately with one the older and wiser elders here, such as SpiritledEd or Stephen....(I have been absent, so i`m unsure of who is on board, those two I know for sure) That is entirely up to you of course...

When there is strong emotion involved, its at least harder for me to hear God's desire for me. When I am at peace, the Spirit can speak to me, and I can hear. I am pretty sure you shouldnt be having sex with her if it seems she doesnt love you, even if she is your wife. Its encouraging her bad behavior. You need to bring up this subject in your councelling session, but I feel that if she is doesnt love you enough to live together, then she doesnt deserve the intimacy she desires with you. Mind you, she might seek elsewhere for intimacy, but if it was me, I would risk it. It seems to me you are unequally yoked, and she was looking for a reason to leave. It might be something they are teaching her in the Jehovah's witness faith, I have heard of such things amoung them, using guilt and twisted scriptures to make them leave anyone who interferes with the progression in thier faith. But this is part spirit speaking and part logical thinking, based upon experience, if you can bring yourself to peace about the situation, I am sure God will lead you, but I feel it might be pretty hard to find that peace right now.

Thank you all it does get easier and I know that the Lord Jesus is my answer.I am able to see a bit clearer as sometimes i have been caught in this whirlpool of argument ,desire and whats right.I will continue to ask God to guide me i know his grace is sufficient for me.I will continue to believe for my marriage thanks.

Praise God brother and I ask the Father for more and more and more clarity.
Don't let circumstances be your truth because Jesus is the truth that sets us free and when we are free we naturally want to set other prisoners free.

He that began a good work in you and your spouse is faithful to complete it.
I will keep your situation before the Lord in prayer and I will be waiting for a good report.
Godspeed and peace to you
