Eating an Elephant

Patience is a virtue. We can change, but God is not going to change us without our obedient cooperation. Sometimes it’s a little like eating an elephant. We look at the “huge” things that need to be different in our lives and give up before we start. How do you eat an elephant? In bite-size pieces! A bit at a time. Decide which “bit” to start with and given time you’ll polish off the whole thing. Patience is a virtue for a Christian! God bless you all………….

Revived and Renewed

If your faith lacks a freshness, if your heart doesn't seem to be in it, psalm 19:7 is a valuable reminder of what the Lord has planned for us, "The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul." God's Word will revive us, it will keep us fresh.Be blessed all.

The privilege of prayer

Our God is too wise to err and too good to withhold any good thing from them that walk uprightly. So let us not fear to trust Him, even though we do not see the immediate answer to our prayers. Let us rely upon His sure promise. "Ask and it shall be given You." God bless you all.

It is Peace that We need!!!!

It is peace that we need- Heaven' forgiveness and peace and love in the soul. Money cannot buy it, intellect cannot procure it, wisdom cannot attain to it; you can never hope, by your own efforts, to secure it. But God offers it to you as a gift, "without money and without price." Isaiah 55:1. It is yours if you will but reach out your hand and grasp it. The Lord says. "though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool " Isaiah 1:18." A new heart also will i give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. " Ezekiel 36:26.

The Test of Discipleship

No deep-seated love for Jesus can dwell in the heart that does not realize its own sinfulness. The soul that is transformed by the grace of Christ will admire His divine character; but if we do not see our own moral deformity, it is unmistakable evidence that we have not had a view of the beauty and excellence of Christ. The less we see to esteem in ourselves, the more we shall see to esteem in the infinite purity and loveliness of our Saviour. A view of our sinfulness driv es us to Him who can pardon; and when the soul, realzing its helplessness, reaches out after Christ, He will reveal Himself in power. The more our sense of need drives us to Him and to the word of God, the mroe exalted views we shall have of His character, and the more fully we shall reflect His Image.
