Hebrews 5:1 "For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins."

5:2 "He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness."

5:3 "Because of this he is also required as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for sins."

5:4 "And no MAN takes this honor to himself, but he who is CALLED BY GOD, just as Aaron was."

5:5 " So also Christ did not glorify himself to become high priest, but it was He (God) who said to him:

"You are my Son, Today have I begotten you."

5:6 " As he also says in another place:

"You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek"

5:7 "who, IN THE DAYS OF HIS FLESH, when He(Jesus) had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him (God) who was able to save him (Jesus) from death, and was heard because of his Godly fear,"

5:8 "thou He (Jesus) was a Son, YET HE (Jesus) LEARNED OBEDIENCE BY THE THINGS WHICH HE SUFFERED."

5:9 " And "HAVING BEEN PERFECTED", "HE BECAME " "THE AUTHOR OF ETERNAL SALVATION" to all who obey him."

5:10 " CALLED BY GOD AS HIGH PRIEST, according to the order of Melchizedek,"

Revelation 5:9 " And they sung a new song, saying, Thou (Jesus) art worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof: for THOU (Jesus) WAST SLAIN, and hast REDEEMED US TO GOD BY THY BLOOD out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

5:10 " And HAST MADE US UNTO OUR GOD KINGS AND PRIESTS: and we shall reign on the earth."

Hebrews 5:9 "And having been perfected, he became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey him."

Eternal salvation therefore must reside in the obedience to Christ Jesus as this is what makes us kings and priests unto God, Just as HIS OBEDIENCE to his Father has made him a King and High Priest to God.

The work that God has done with Jesus was an example for the rest of us to follow. I think we can agree on that one thing. "THE WORD OF GOD MADE FLESH"

The thread reveals the humanness of our Lord and the necessity for suffering unto perfection through obedience in order to be proclaimed a High Priest forever.
And as he suffered through being a man it made him understand the condition of man which is why ALL JUDGMENT was passed unto the SON.

John 5:22 " For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed ALL JUDGEMENT UNTO THE SON: 23-That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him."

John 5:27 "And hath given him (Jesus) authority to execute judgment also, BECAUSE HE IS THE SON OF MAN." This last verse is the words of Jesus saying he was a MAN,
and because he was a MAN God gave him the authority to execute judgement upon man.

It is the execution of His judgment upon the Elect that eventually mature them into the mind of Christ. "Those I love I rebuke and chasten." repent- change your mind and your way for you have strayed from the path. FOLLOW ME, to receive what I received after my own obedience achieved perfection.

Hebrews 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the
AUTHOR AND FINISHER of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

What might we say then was the joy set before him?
To reconcile all his brethren to God through the Judgment that God gave him the authority to exercise on all men unto their perfecting?

It should become apparent to the reader that what Jesus is now doing is the exact same thing his Father, and ours, did in/with him. If you grasp that then is should become
apparent where the problem is in seeing Jesus as God. He is doing the work of God as the Son of God to bring many sons unto glory. He is the mirror image of his Father
but yet is not his Father, but to look at both in the mirror at the same time I'm not certain you could tell the difference. Thus not able to discern both.
