Has anybody else heard of this movement where they say we have to go back to keeping the torah like first century jews. If you feel like googling it let me know what you think. Personally I believe it is unbiblical.

There's group that call themselves Sabbath day keepers that is similar, but fanatical. They log onto facebook christian forums and post their message and argue with everyone. Salvation by works is unbiblical.

Interesting I didn't know facebook had christian forums. Have you ever had any debate with these sabbath keepers?

Facebook calls them Groups that you ask to join, and then you can join the the discussion. Yes I've debated, but they didn't like the push back with New Testament scriptures and when losing they start name calling; that's normal for cults. Then just go away.

I recently debated a person who insisted that we have to keep the Torah. He defined the word law several different ways and used the definitions as he pleased. For example if the verse seemed in favor of the law (like a lot of testement verses) he would define it as Torah. But if the verse was against us keeping the law then suddwntly law meant the law ofbsin and death. Also the new covenant was defined as Torah. When shown anything that contradicted this erroneous doctrine he would redefine words and basically say that if you disagreed with him then you also disagree with Jesus or Paul or whoever is talking in scripture thats being redefined.
