I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you.
(John 14:18)
The Lord Jesus Christ cares for the lonely and lifts them up and blesses them in life. You may languish in bitter loneliness and lament but the Lord promises, “I will lift up the people languishing in loneliness and bless them. I will make them sit in heavenly places with me.”
The Lord says He will draw honey from the rock and oil from the flinty rock and feed you with the finest wheat (Deuteronomy 32:13, Psalm 147:14). When God blessed Job of the Bible, all his relatives came seeking him. Each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring. Earlier, when he was in dark times of his life, he languished in loneliness and no one came forward to comfort or help him. But when God exalted him in life, people came seeking him and they held him in high esteem. He received honor and love from all people. The Lord promises to do the same to you in life.
The Lord calls people who are in loneliness and blesses them. He will also walk among them and make all the people to seek them and honour them. The Lord knows the agony of loneliness in this world.
On the cross, He was alone and his dear ones deserted him. He was surrounded by the soldiers, priests and others who jeered at him and reviled him. The Lord cried unto the Father, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none” (Matthew 27:46; Psalm 69:20). He knew the bitterness of loneliness.
Dear Friend! The Lord Who tasted the bitterness of loneliness promises you saying, “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18). What ever be the loneliness you are facing in life, call upon the Lord and He shall turn your loneliness and bless you in life. The Lord will set the solitary in families and bless and exalt them in life. Rejoice! He will turn all your sorrows into joy.
