Has God sent a great deslusion?

It is clear that Jesus warns that the end time will be very difficult times and many will fall away. He asks: “will I find any faithful” before His return.

We are repeatedly told to watch and be ready and to hold steadfast in the doctrine of the Truth as recorded in scripture.

We are warned that in the last days there will be a great reversal in society. Good will become evil and evil will become good, right will become wrong and wrong will become right, the natural will become unnatural and the unnatural will become natural, lies will become the truth and truth will become the lie...

This great reversal in society is the falling away. When society no longer looks to and defends God’s Word, God give them up to the strong delusion. There are only two options: follow God or follow self (Satan). Satan is the father of all lies. He whispers to every soul to follow self and to do as you please. If you denounce yourself and your self pleasure, then you are still listening to and following God.

Look at the church today: the community church is all but gone. In its place is the mega church. No real accountability, come when you want, be entertained by a music band, listen to a feel good message, grab some coffee and donuts, buy the pastors books and tapes, then go home and do as you please. No more preaching of denying self; a life of hardship and sacrifice and carrying the cross, not becoming conformed to this world, not being too comfortable in this world, and to denounce idols.

There is a large number of people professing to be “Christians” but in name only. Maintaining their comfortable bubble is their primary concern. This my friend is falling away from the truth and the life Jesus lived.

When the disciples asked Jesus when His return would be, he told us to not be deceived. Meaning, many would fall away from the truth...then He would come as a thief in the night.

So it is clear to me that Christianity will become perverted by false prophets. All of society will be under attack by secular false prophets.

God has been forced out of society since the 60s. Society has embraced the doctrine of self and self pleasure. Yet we see the evidence that society is morally bankrupt.

I was a member of Calvary Chapel and was baptized by Chuck Smith. On one of the walls on the church property was the saying “Jesus is coming back soon.” That saying was removed. I never hear mention of Jesus coming back soon anymore, except from the older generation who still hold to the promises of God.

When Jesus returns for His church it will be to take away those who have not falling away, nor succumbed to the strong delusion. Many who claimed to be Christians will be left behind. You cannot serve two masters.

Oh my, I don't know of one Calvary Chapel that isn't lead by a false teacher, and they all promote escaping the Tribulation as the main selling point. I'm probably your age group, used to belong to Hal Lindsey's Beach Fellowship, and learned a whole lot of false prophecy there.

The coming Beast system will be led by a man of religion, who joins with a political leader, so the world and all the different religions (including the false "Christian" churches) will be easily brought into agreement to worship the god of this world. Sad, but the longer I live, the more I realize, the people are getting from their churches what they want to hear (or more likely, NOT hear).

In that respect I agree...We want to stay away from toxic people. No two ways about that, but by not judging the bible is talking of condemning a person mostly I think. You stay away from a person you deem unsafe but you don't write him/her off. Right?

No sure I get what you mean. I can't condemn anyone (as in making a judgment that God is never going to choose them - I have no way of knowing that). I just ask Him to work His will in me each day, so who I meet, where I go, what I say, do, or pray, etc., is out of my hands and in His.

1Co 3:7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.

We're not to judge, IF, we are hypocritically doing the same sin.

I judge people for my physical and spiritual protection, and for choosing if, or how, I will relate/pray for them.
Paul says with crystal clarity that we are to judge all things 1 Cor 2:15. Especially matters that would otherwise be taken to court 1 Cor 6:1-9. He even says we will one-day judge angels 1 Cor 6:3.

The context of Jesus saying do not judge in Matt 7:1 is the context of stoning someone to death. Jesus judged the prostitute as a prostitute and said ''go and sin no more''. With no repentance / turning from her ways, she would fall victim to God's judgement on the matter. We all know His feelings on the matter are 100% inline with the graphic punishment / law of a stoning to death that He ordained.

The word judging is taboo today because we have mortal sinners who want to live with their sin freely. Not come under any condemnation. But the scriptural truth is that unless you repent and turn from your ways, you cannot escape the punishment coming.

So, what must a Christian do? Must we be silent and not help those in sin to repentance? Silence can come across as approval of their sin Rom 1:32. If the sin is a mortal sin, we are then agents of the devil. A good Christian will take the heat for identifying and helping their neighbour out of sin Prov 27:6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.

LOL Good. Thank you. Idid not mention this part because so many people want to argue over it, and I can not handle arguments anymore. They get confusing to me. So instead of bringing a brother before a judge we take him before the elders and let them settle the argument. Let them convince the brother of his sin. Then let them be, instead of judges, adjudicators. A play on words but the word judge is omitted so any snowflakes wont' get offended?
