Had Jesus Lived?

I have often thought, where Jesus's ministry would have led had he not been crucified. He was with us for such a short time. As it relates to the "golden rule", is it possible to consider the affect if we treated each other the way Jesus treated us. Isn't that what being human is really all about? Are we cabable of conceiving such a humane existence, or must we be resolved to wait to the end, which woild negate any validity offered in the Lord's prayer: "...on Earth as it is in Heaven". Please help me clarify this,

As history shows, Jesus was about 30 years old when His ministry started officially and He was 33 years old when He died and Rose again.

The key to remember here is He rose again.

Now if you look in Acts 1, the first page, you will see that Jesus, after His crucifixion spent another 40 days with his disciples before ascending to Heaven.

Now we step back and take a look at this and ask ourselves? Is it and was it not within the Almighty Lord's Power to live on earth all His days and never go to His Throne?

For sure, it was possible and indeed if Jesus did not ascend to His Father then He would still be here with us, because He was and is truly immortal.

Jesus had a plan though, He wanted His followers to become Apostles and share the message of Faith in Him across the Globe. That's what Jesus' ministry was about as well, that we should place our faith in Him as John 3:16 and Romans 10 specifies.

We are on this earth and we eagerly await the return of the Lord, not the return of a God that will save us from this awful place, but rather the return of a God, the only God that will come and pick us up, dust us off, wipe our tears away and give us peace and joy everlasting.

The day when Christ returns is a glorious day and we should not get couped up with ourselves and our lives that we forget that this day is near. Each day that passes is a day closer to the return of the Son and each day closer to spending our lives with Him in completeness.

So to sum it all up. Yes, we love our Lord. We would die for our Lord and if we had the chance, at a wink of an eye we would love to be with Him. For now, we have a duty. The duty is to share His message of faith in Him and that message of the cross. For through the cross we have been forgiven of all our sins and will be able to taste the glories that eyes have not seen and riches and sights that can't be fathomed or imagined.
