Hey guys - thanks for the welcome and starting off a debate! I did go into research after you, Coconut, mentioned this. And I do believe this is important because accepting a true prophet is important:
Matt. 10:41 "Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward."
(and I can say I've received back on one occasion when I was more "on fire", however I am struggling now)
I know very well he is accused of being a false prophet... I am also quite familiar with the new age movement; he is accused of being a new age prophet. It is also true he has mentioned things in his book such as the law of attraction (I did not read this but found references). There are 2 very extreme opinions on him all over the internet.
I researched about him saying you do not have to be born of the spirit to obtain salvation, (btw I agree with you that you need to be!), and where they get this is right from his website I think. Under Beliefs then Life & Salvation.
"John 3:3- When Nicodemus approached Jesus and commented on how he recognized God was with Him, His great miracles, and for being a great Teacher, Jesus responded by telling him that he must be born again to “SEE” the Kingdom of God. The next step is to "enter" what is seen. Jesus did not say that “you must be born again” to be saved or to escape from judgment. In fact, in the New Testament you will not find examples of Christ or His disciples instructing and warning the crowds to get "born again" in order to be saved. From what scripture reveals, it is possible that Jesus did not even use this same terminology again when teaching about the Kingdom of God."
Read that over a few times though with discernment. There is a bit of crazy "wording debate" going on. He is right about he may have not used that language, but then again one also has to see that Clement did just emphasize the word "see" when that also could have been lost in translation. Also I did a quick search of new testament and the disciples preaching about becoming born again and there are quite a few examples. But, he could also again be referring to the specific terminology. However before this he does state:
"I believe the only way for a person to be saved is through the name of Jesus and by confession that He is Lord. The only way to the Father is by accepting the sacrifice that His Son made by shedding his blood."
His message and emphasis is on the future and prosperity. I came out of the new age (but was not toootally submerged in it, was dabbling in it so to speak) and it was only after hearing Kim Clement I was drawn back to God. So my question is how did I feel the Spirit and He became so real to me afterwards when Clement was teaching on breaking soul ties. I had created a number of them while I was astray. So I went and spiritually broke them through prayer and submerging myself with the Word and through Jesus' name. And feeling lighter I wanted to go back and feed more on the Word from Clement. I do not know nor will any Christ-loving individual tell you that Satan or any of his minions can withstand the name of Jesus.
Once on his broadcast he mentioned a letter coming in that was asking him about "psychic" vs "prophet". He responded by psychics speak of the dead, prophets are of life. At times he speaks directly against spirits such as Pythos and Divinity.
I watched also a number of videos of how Clement is a false prophet and they are just as brainwashing as everything! Things taken out of context, repetition, pictures, the whole works!
His Word on the Tabernacle was so powerful! He explained the Courtyard so properly - as the gateway to get to the Spirit of God - but to enter you must accept that Jesus died for your sins. Then you enter the Holy Place with the lamp stand and incense. Then the Holiest of Holies place which is the Ark of Covenant. He drew parallels to ourselves. The Courtyard = body. The Holy Place = our soul. The Holiest of Holies= the Spirit (of God). More on this but don't want to get too distracted!
So in conclusion,
I think that every prophet has a specific calling and his is to take people away from the disastrous media today and bring them back into the joy God wants us to have. How do we not believe one of His prophets yet feel we are in the right? I don't know... Clement's purpose is to enlighten us to the realm that we cannot see, to make God more alive and real to us - so refreshing! I think instead of reading about him, put on the armour of God and watch one of his broadcasts.
I am too educated on how uncertain the world is and how words can be deceiving and how and where things are referenced. I admit I was quite scared when researching into this but then I think - just because I am with God does not mean I will not be tested on my faith. I have felt it so real - and then reading all these very opposing sides I become discouraged, yes - but could this not be a taste for myself on how easily I can be pushed from a stance? Who knows? God knows. I will stick with God. Even though I love how Clement got me through some tough times - I was/am ready to let him go if the Spirit of God tells me he is false.
