By way of introduction to this forum, my name is Michael (forum name Abednego). I’m a retired Legalman Chief (E-7) with 20+ years of active service in the U. S. Navy. While stationed in Naples, Italy I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, the beginning of a wonderfully new, exciting, and changed life. Since my retirement from the Navy, my wife and I moved from Virginia Beach and settled down in a quaint little Village in the beautiful rolling hills of the Southern Tier of Western New York. I enjoy writing, watching classic movies of the 30’s through the 50’s; playing scrabble, yahtzee, monopoly and putting puzzles together. I thoroughly enjoy watching a beautiful sunrise and the magnificence of the setting sun. I also enjoy warm tropical weather, walking on a sandy beach, and enjoy the warmth of the sunshine on my face. Most of all I enjoy playing with my granddaughters ages 7 and 5. My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” Excellent counsel to live by from God’s precious Word.
