I'd like to say I am glad to be joining with other Christians on the Internet for sharing the love of Christ. I am on a journey, travelling with Jesus through this world, doing my best to help spread the good news of His Gospel. I've fallen so many times I'm sure I have permanent scars on my spiritual knees. He has been faithful to pick me up and help me to continue to walk.
I grew up in the Pentecostal faith. My great-granddad, C P Kilgore, was an evangelist who travelled across the United States holding tent revivals and planting churches, especially in the Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas area. My maternal grandfather, Horace Wilburn, pastored churches for more than 50 years before he retired at the age of 75. As a matter-of-fact, it was at one of the churches my grandfather pastored where my father met my mother in 1949. They were married in 1950. As children came along, first myself then, 2 sisters and a brother, we were taught the love of Jesus in the home and at church. I was saved and baptized at the age of 10 years old. I've always had a love for music and have usually been involved in the music department of any church I've attended--choir, instrumental, groups, etc. Through music I know that I can minister to those in need of a relationship with Christ. It can be a balm to a soul.
I look forward to fellowshipping and getting to know other Christians through this forum.
In Him,
Wade
