ceptor asked a good and productive question and his thread was ruined, and it seemed unfair to him. We are here to promote Jesus and His kingdom. The question...

What kind of things can we use to spread the Good News online?

Are there any free methods of sharing Jesus Christ?

Any ideas of any sort are welcomed, not just related to my questions. Everything ministry.

I'm hoping to learn some new things here and possibly help others share Christ as well. I want to do more for Him.

blogs of personal testimony, interact in chats
i am outta ideas for myself being limited in time/resources

Thanks for this post.
Cleared up Ceptor's thread
.

hmm
I would say blogs as well.
Also if you got time, commenting on blogs. Even small comments and scriptures can make a difference. I don't read many myself in that I don't regularly follow someone elses but some people are big on the blog community. I do have my own blogs, and if anyone reads it, well one of them is all about the Good News.

You can make a free one on blogger, which I find is easier and less complicated than wordpress.

Participating in forums is another, the bigger christian forums seems to attract many seekers and its there you can spread the gospel (beware though, of ticking off catholics, as they ban you if you say anything the church doesn't like)

And like others have said, just chatting to people who may be interested in the same hobbies as you and sharing Jesus or what God has done in your life, without being all super preachy.

Maybe, having a signature on your email that has scripture. People can see that you are a christian, without you even mentioning, cos it would be on your sig.

Don't underestimate the power of the Word. I myself came to know the Lord when I was in this group and there was a christian who had a testimony and she was encouraging and prayed for me. I was kinda depressed and needing support. It wasn't a christian group she just happened to be on it and we were talking spirituality and faith and about dealing with depression.

She told me the gospel in a way that I could understand. I think several seeds had been planted but her one took. So you never know. She had prayed to share the gospel with someone that day and I emailed her wanting to know more.

LOL I didn't think it was me..but let's blame the women...They're responsible people Whenever something goes wrong, they're responsible.....ROFL No really ladies Just a sexist joke from a nonsexist.

If there's an issue with a member or post, why not use the useful report post function instead of starting a thread?

As the Moderator who deleted the posts from following thread.

Ideas For Ministry

Each poster who had one deleted should have received an explanation on why it was removed.

A little explanation needed?

After the attention from @robaston on this thread I agreed with him that the effort and consideration was not being given to Brother Ceptor the originator of the thread.

So removed the postings that contributed nothing to the questions being asked from a sincere brother seeking help to step out in faith and further the Kingdom of God. Below are the quoted topics this brother was seeking assistance with.

What kind of things can we use to spread the Good News online?

Are there any free methods of sharing Jesus Christ?

Any ideas of any sort are welcomed, not just related to my questions. Everything ministry.

I wonder if anyone who had postings deleted considers what was said as helping or provided encouragement to this brother in what he was seeking?

Sometimes banter between other posters or even what appears to be light exchanges contrary to the topic at hand could actually appear to make light of not only the topic but the person making the request. This should never be my brothers.

There is time for all things. Maybe the following location might be appropriate for certain exchanges should the need arise.

Jokes & Bible Trivia

or even using private conversations between each other.

My desire is not to stifle communication done in fellowship, but let us use wisdom and understanding during those moments when there are others looking for your guidance and help.

I agree with Brother Chad.
It would save the need for this type of thread if you were to use the report function.
Only in love brother.

c4ever, i didn't report firstly because i thought ceptor didn't get respected, then it may be just me getting confused by poster, then because i didn't want to attack another and report everyone that annoyed me.

aren't we s'pposed to have grace before judgement? but i respect management need for order.

um. maybe just get back to the topic? If something's off topic just make a big post (moderator) reminding everyone to stick to OP.

Like...Lets get back on track. If you would to discuss something other than this topic please start your own thread.

And then put 'this was the topic ---ideas for ministry---would anyone like to comment?
It would save ppl wading through loads of unrelated comments and getting all confused. I think as netiquette that we shouldn't joke around if someone's posted a question. We can learn to keep our mouths shut and tell any jokes in the joke forum..

although a merry heart makes good medicine.
Which is why Patch Adams was popular. That's a ministry, cheering up those who are housebound and can only contact people online. I think people appreciate having someone to chat to and spend time with them, even if they can't visit them in person.
