A story Jesus told me, I wish to share.
Jesus said “There was a boy who was hungry, so he took his money and set off to the market place to by a fish. When the boy arrived at the market place, there were many stalls selling fish. Big fish and small fish, so many to choose from. The price was too much in many cases and the boy thought for a while. After some time the boy asked his Heavenly Father what would be the best deal for his money, as he was very hungry. His Heavenly Father said to the boy, if you buy a fish today, tomorrow you will be hungry again and have no money, yet if you buy a net, you can catch all the fish you need for the rest of your life because I will show you were to fish”.
Jesus told me, like the boy we too spend our money on things that won’t see us through. When we put more into religions made by men the cost is far too much. Our net is the Holy Spirit that feeds us, Jesus shows us were to fish and we eat our daily fill. Jesus first and our Christian religions/sects second, that’s the smart play.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5
But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie--just as it has taught you, abide in him. - 1 John 2:27
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. - John 14:26
