In this type of forum, it can then be communicated as a PM to the person, especially in the knowledge, that when we are talking about compassion it usually is dealing with a personal rather then a theological issue. In that instance when others are being compassionate, it would behoove one to seek the less obvious route for communicating "correction". Then when other avenues available to one have been exhausted, and correction is still warranted. Then one should bring it to the to the Body of Christ.

In honesty, the word "Wrath" is really not the appropriate word for what is being discussed. Chastisement would be better, but that wasn't the word used

Do you understand the phrase, "a timely word" and how timely incorporates into its meaning? God knows when a person's heart is bending to being properly pierced and how a timely word has a better chance of penetrating the shifting wall of stone that surrounds many hearts. That being said, I agree with the sentiment of speaking rebukes privately if at all possible.

Hmm weeds could get my wrath, although usually they are just composted, but the really prickly ones..cut down and burned. And that goes for dead and diseased roses as well. But sometimes its just pruning.

If the person is unrepentant and not listening God usually sends a prophet to have a word with them. But then if they still dont listen and God has warned them and given them ample time to repent...theres always going to be consequences for sin as people reap what they sow.

If people kept commiting abominations thinking God doesnt see that they have another think coming. This is why sodom and gomorah got blasted.
