God is self-revealing completely independent of the Scriptures but based on characteristic precedents and promises dating back to Paradise. (Gen. 2: 7-17)
The terms in the original scope (Israel and Judah) were comprehensively expanded (to cover "all peoples") on the day Jesus was presented in the Temple. (Luke 2: 25-35); and "sealed" on his death on the cross (Matt. 26: 26-29; 64).
Therefore, tet us pray for personally revealed knowledge of God to all of us based on the clear promise:
"None of them will have to teach his fellow-countryman to know the LORD, because they all will know me, from the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and I will no longer remember their wrongs. I, the LORD, have spoken." (Jer. 31: 31-34)
Amen!
