Barnabas and Saul in Cyprus : Acts 13:4-12 - "So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. 13:5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister. 13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus: 13:7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. 13:8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 13:9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? 13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 13:12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. 13:13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem."
Luke 10:2
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. 10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. 10:4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 10:5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. 10:6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. 10:7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. 10:8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 10:9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."
We have a sister in Christ whom we believed has called by God to be a committed worker of the Lord in one of the pioneering churches we're working out today. We have seen her desire to do God's will in her life and how his husband would be releasing and supporting her in this responsibility awaiting her in the near future. Inspite of all her willingness to serve and give her life for God's service, it seems that she's not finding her way to respond because of all the adverse trials she's undergoing today.
Due to family's need she has to go abroad for two years in order to earn but before finishing her contract she was diagnosed of a sickness in the blood (ALTACEMIA - her red blood cells almost count to 10 below) so she was sent home. It was believed that the sickness was related to her calling because when she reached home miracle healing happened in her. Some weeks after she managed to be with us in the mision field and we have seen how God sustained her with strength though we have to walk an hour village to village. After some few months another trial she's facing and has something to do with family problems. Still on the process of healing (emotionally) another sickness has stricken her and she's about to undergo neither radioactive proces or operation due to toxic goiter and another suspected tumor cells near her left armpit.
I heard her say one time that she learned that her mother in law who is now attending church services and also who's family line has a history of witchcraft cursed her life to death and is desiring her to vanish out of this world as soon as posible. I myself is convinced that her terrible situation today is of demonic influence so that God's work might be hindered in her life and in the place where God would build His Kingdom. This third week of September, Sunday Worship Service has now to be established/installed in their hometown and the believers are waiting for her. PLease help us pray that God may continue to give her a release, be able to stand in her faith regardless all these trials she's undergoing today. May God continue to bless us all.

IICorinthians 10:3" For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"
