PloughBoy-- your comments show that you don't know what Calvinism really is. Look up John Calvin == TULIP -- an accrostic for their basic beliefs.

There's been an on-going 'debate' between Calvinism and Armenianism for many, many years.

Almost like down south in Texas -- 'are you a Longhorn or an Aggie'. except that That is football lingo.

For your information by going by the term “Calvinist” does not mean you following the teachings of John Calvin. And Christians they just do not get it. And it is sad. Concerning following him, most likely , if you belong to a “ institutional church” and its set up and study a KJV bible you should be label a “Calvinist”. And not me.

I Do go to a local church -- the one church uses the ESV and the other the NAS or what ever a person wants to use. But , no, that does Not make me or anyone else a Calvinist. My husband went to both a Calvinist college and seminary -- he was a 5 1/2 point Calvinist. I'm neither a Calvinist Or an Armenianist. I'm more a middle-of - the -road person. Though both concepts can be found in Scripture or they would not be a controversy.

And what else Would it mean -- a person who follows John Calvin's teachings is a Calvinist.

Just like a person who follows Christ's teachings is a Christian -- a Christ-one.
