I will make my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect. Leviticus 26:11-13 ESV

God desires to dwell among His people, but sometimes He needs to offer reminders of what He has done in the past, letting His people know that their freedom comes from God’s work in their lives, not from indulging their own desires or bowing to the wishes of others.

What has God done in your life to help you live in freedom? Are there ways you have seen God’s provision for you? These are the moments God wants you to remember, keeping them before your mind as you face new challenges. The faithfulness of God in the past is what can transform fear into faith today.

Just as the people of Israel continued to face difficult situations and choices—where they had to weigh the direction of God against their own desires and wisdom—the defining moment in your life may come down to what you remember.

Prayer: Lord, I am grateful for Your presence and provision in my life. May I remember the ways You have been faithful so that I will be guided by faith in You.
