God Desires To Be Found

"For a long time Israel [has been] without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law; "but when in their trouble they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them. 2 Chronicles 15:3-4 NKJV

Jesus echoed a long line of prophets when He promised His followers that they could seek and find God by faith. The prophet Azariah promised the people of Israel that despite their unfaithfulness and rejection of God, they could still find Him in their moment of distress. Although God lets His people walk away if they choose, He also desires that His people find Him.

When you pray and nothing seems to happen, do you sometimes worry that God is playing games with you or is even becoming passive-aggressive? It can be hard to believe that you will find God when He doesn’t show up in any of the ways you’re expecting.

However, if you can surrender your expectations and pray with faith you may find that God has already shown up in your life in ways you hadn’t before noticed or that you aren’t aware of in the present. God is already present, but sometimes it may take your perception a little time to catch up.

Prayer: Lord, help me to find You when I seek You with my whole heart.

Heb 11:6; And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
