My bible study friend died last night, after many months of battling liver cancer. I have asked for prayer for him before, and I thank everyone who prayed for John and his family.

John is now with the Lord and no longer suffering and in pain. He really suffered these past few weeks, it has been a lingering, drawn out event. John still carried on with such Grace that only God can provide. I thank the Lord that John is finally home and at peace.

John was a soldier for Christ, he was a bold, Jesus loving man. He served God since he became saved in early '80's. Apparently his conversion was a very powerful one, I don't know the whole story, but Jesus transformed him overnight. He was in the prison ministry for many years, and led many inmates to the Lord.
Everyone loved John for his outgoing personality, his kindness and willingness to help others. His passion for the Lord and his zeal to evangelize was inspiring. He encouraged and helped me on many occasion. He remained faithful to Jesus right until the end.

John was very kind and helpful to my husband, myself and many others.
We will miss John, and are a little sad, but joyful moreso, because he is no longer in any pain.

I think John was aged 62. He leaves behind a wife who is quite sick herself and a 21yr old daughter. His mother and sister are also still living.

Please pray for this family, John's wife and daughter are Christian, so they do have the comfort of knowing that John is in a wonderful place.

Thanks for your prayers.

God bless you sister Calluna. We can rest assured in Jesus that brother John is with the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:-8
A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Heavenly Father I bring this bereaved family to you today. I ask you Lord to be with them in this their deep sorrow. You are the God of All Comfort, and I pray that this wife, daughter and family, be fully aware that you are at their side at this time.

Father I thank you that John is now with You and not suffering anymore. I pray that You would surround the family with love and Your peace the peace that passes all understanding. Help them and pour Your comfort over them all. May they sense Your presence with them during this time of adjustment. In Jesus' name amen.

I will pray for his family and thank the Lord that he was saved. He's gone to a better place. Amen

When a Christian passes away, in the end we should always say "thank GOD". Sounds like an oxymoron, but of course we know His grace saves us from eternal death.

"Please pray for this family, John's wife and daughter are Christian, so they do have the comfort of knowing that John is in a wonderful place."

I'm very happy to hear that they're both Christians who express strong faith in this situation. I know if this happened to me, I would honestly be wrecked and rocked in my emotions.

Thank you Jesus for your Saving grace!

I will pray for the family's healing in this time.

Thank you Lord that John ran the race you set before him and he is no longer confined to his tent and bless you Lord for your grace in his life for the faith which he held on to until the end...
Lord , please may Johns life now even bear more everlasting fruit as folks who knew him are comforted and reminded of You

bless you Jesus

and also Lord, bless Calluna Lord, bless her with many fond and dear memories and a desire to share much of the wonderful life that she experienced through our brother John, that Calluna has your Joy and praise now and always

praise you Jesus for you are the author and finisher of our faith

I am sorry for your loss.
I rejoice for John and pray God's peace and comfort for His family.

2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
