Unshakable people are patient people. They know it’s uncommon for prayers to be answered immediately.
You need to trust that God answers prayers and that “yes” answers can take time. While you wait, you’ll be tempted to consider the forward progress of people who don’t care about God. You can’t make them live by the same beliefs you have. They have different ideas about trust, love, and life. If they don’t know Jesus, they won’t see the significance of trusting Him. Sadly, when they are shaken, they may not think to turn to the only One who can keep their feet from stumbling.
Don’t get in a rush. Don’t entertain worry. Don’t wring you hands over things you can’t control. The patience you express by waiting for what you can’t yet see speaks volumes about the trust you have in God. This is a snapshot of the unshakable life God desires for you.
Rest. God is with you. Wait. He will act. Be unshakable.
Prayer: Father, I have been guilty of acting like people who don’t trust You—and of expecting those same people to act like people who follow You. I should stand unshakable because those who don’t follow You need to see what that looks like.
