I have my thoughts as when the time will be. I'm a pretrib believer. So the question, based on the poll. How long do YOU think we have before the rapture. Now because of differing opinions (Pre Mid or Post) there will be different answers. Please state your stance on it. This turned out to be one of my not so good days, I don't remember most of it, so this is merely a diversion for me to get my mind relaxed. I do hope a certain sister won't get offended over it.

Me? I think we have less than a year to wait. And...I know..We can't know the day nor the hour, but we can know the season by the happenings in our world

@Admon ---- I was reading your bio info and remember a movie a while back based on someone with your short-term memory situation. I'm also a pre-trib rapture person. Because based on Daniel 9 :24 - end of chapter. There have only been 69 weeks so there is one more week yet to come. Which means a future 7 weeks of tribulation coming. vs 27 -- the middle of the week is 3 1/2 years into the 7 which starts the Great Tribulation period. That at that point is when the Antichrist will make his appearance known. The 1st 3 1/2 yrs everything will seem fine.

As to the 'when' there's a song that says "soon and very soon we are going to see the King" which I believe to be true. Scripture compares the events leading up To the rapture to the birth pangs of an expectant mother. Since I've been in that situation four times, I can easily relate. Ya just need to be ready spiritually. Now is the time of salvation.

As for the post trib rapture idea, no, because Why should born again believers be feeling God's wrath. God's Word promises trials and tribulation for His followers. When believers are trying to live Godly lives, they Will experience hardships and times Of tribulation. And, also, we are now in the time for the Gentiles. Salvation was originally just for God's chosen people, the Jews. But they chose to reject His salvation in the book of Acts. So salvation was extended to the Gentiles. But -- during those coming 7 years -- God Will again offer salvation for the Jews. But it will be very hard for them. They will experience His wrath because of their rejection of Him as their promised Messiah. The 144,000 Jews / 12,000 from each tribe will be sealed for protection and will go to evangelize the Jews. Revelation 7 talks about that. Vs 14.

And during those 7 years -- the pre-trib rapture people will be in heaven for the marriage super of the Lamb. Well -- all born again believers will be up there with Jesus Christ. We / the Church / His Bride / will be united with Him. And Then, when Jesus Christ comes back all the way to earth -- those previously raptured up will return with Him for the 1,000 yr reign here on earth. During this time, satan will be held in the great Abyss -- can't get out. So there will be peace on earth for those next 1,000 yrs. Hard to image. And then after some more activity -- there actually Will be eternity.

It's really hard to image a future outside of this present world.

And This election will tell a great deal. Freedom or socialism.

Maybe it's Best to think our time here is very short. If the rapture Doesn't take 'us' soon, a car wreck or illness Could. Not especially COVID, but we don't know when our personal lives will be over.

Everyone these days could use a bit of mind-relaxing. Maybe' just' in the form of knowing that God is still here and wants close relationship with each of us. Inner peace is pretty nice. :)

To ME, "Eschatology" is just another word for "Rank Speculation". Pre-Trib is as good a guess as any, and the one held by my denomination (AG), and loosely by me also. HEY!! it's only "THeology" after all. Of course it's also of little interest to me, since in all likelihood (since I'm 78, and in lousy health), I'll watch it from the other side of the grass.

I doubt that, The "Mature Visible Church" of Ephesians 4 isn't even on the radar yet, and the FULL GOSPEL hasn't really reached its full effect experimentally in the world yet and the Visible church is still largely powerless in the world. Of course if He decides it's time this evening, that would be completely acceptable (and I wouldn't have to go to work on Monday).

What you say is very interesting..You speak of the powerless visible church...what about the invisible church within that church. The Christians that do walk in power and the Holy Spirit? The ones who have made themselves ready? Those who will make up the bride? The Word does describe the bride as the one who HAS made herself ready....Revelation 12 speaks of the woman, always symbolic of a religious organization, who gives birth to a manchild...A manchild who is caught up before the Dark one can destroy him. God talks of a "One New Man" a manchild More or less a blend of jews and gentiles...who have made themselves ready....There is SOOOO much that is not taught that needs to be taught!

Well -- my two cents worth -- eschatology is the study of end time events. And lots of people don't want to worry about. But God Did choose to let us know about those events. Probably because there Is more to come -- our physical bodies die but our soul doesn't.

We Are told about the 7 churches of Asia -- the pros and cons of each in God's eyes. And that pastors / church people Can / Should compare our church to them.

As far as your being 78 and in poor health. My mother lived to be 98 and was in poor health -- lots of health experiences during those last 20 yrs of her life.

A church is as powerFul or powerLess as it's pastor / people in it allow it to be.

'we' Need to be encouraging each other spiritually. And now more than ever. We need to be willing to share the Gospel unto Salvation with all who will listen. When all people have been Reached by the Gospel ,,,, then,,,,,

How do you find support for our being in the 69th week when the kingdom of God arrived with Jesus as foretold. Many cannot see the kingdom who are not born again. That' why the Pharisees rejected him and many still look for it in the future.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 (KJV 1900)
