This is for soldiers fighting in Iraq. Pass it on to everyone and pray

Createdtoworship, I've read this one before & it still brings tears to my eyes. My heart is so tender toward our soldiers. My son is one - served in Iraq & is now in Germany. He was one of those who battled the sandstorms & bullets at the onset of the war...along with so many others.

Sometimes I think we forget where they are & what they are going thru. The heat, the hostility, the lonliness, the list goes on & on. When my son was there, he said there were some soldiers who did not get mail from home & probably did not have anyoen praying for them. He gave me names & addresses & we wrote them & let them know they were being prayed for. It meant so much to them & I still keep in touch with one of them today.

Thank you for posting this....our guys & girls need our prayers.

I feel for these soldiers. I only see what is shown in papers and tv and never knew my own blood who died at war (well I have an extremely huge family and surely some died that I am not aware of). My own father was shot in Lebanon back in the 70's, split his stomach open, stiched open, stomach ripped opeen agian after stiches broke loose. Father is still alive praise GOD, gratefully so. War is sick as can be but GOD is awesome as can be, infinitely.

PRAYER PRAYER PRAYER!!!

You want REAL servitude - look no further than those disciples in Scripture and modern times, our soldiers! God bless the VERY much.

most of the men in my family served in the military. my father was in navy for eight years when i was younger and it was so hard on my family. I never knew how much danger he was in when i was little. I recently moved to eastern n.c. just north of norfolk V.A. there are so many girls i know here that have boyfreinds or fiancee's in the military and its so hard on them and the familys of the soilders. I wonder how my own mother did it for so long.
But from what my father tells me when he was in bootcamp, him and a few other christians would get together and pray, the others would look at them like they were crazy, but by the last night every man in the room was prayin. just wanted to share that.

Some of the tv stations actually broke down & gave reports on the prayer, church & baptismal services held during the prelude & early onset of the war. One of them broadcast a few minutes of one of the church services that had a tent filled with soldiers - I missed that one but my aunt told me my son was shown as being there. That was another blessing God gave me...that little snip on tv let me know he was ok in the midst of everything. Isn't He good???? SO GOOD.

So many of them realized the significance of the very ground they were marching on in reference to Biblical times. They had far more than their physical battle with the enemy - they had strong battles in the spiritual realm also.

Things heat up occasionally there....the enemy striking again (satan). Our prayers are still needed to keep them covered. I made up prayer cards that I felt God led me to do & handed them out to members of our church who agreed to adopt a soldier to pray for. On the cards, I wrote suggestions of how to pray - as God led me.
They included: mental clarity (for the split second decisions they would have to make), emotional strength (as they carried out those decisions in sometimes painful ways), physical endurance & spiritual growth. Psalm 91 was the foundation of our prayer.
