John 14:13) Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
By Jesus Christ everyone of us can come to the throne of grace in time of need. We can bow our knees anywhere (figuratively speaking) and we have full assurance that God will listen and hear us. God wants to do big things in our lives, especially those things that will ultimately be a testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ; it can be raising a family in a godly fashion, being highly proficient in the job God has given us, operation in our gifting, or using our talents to minister unto others. While there are many petitions that we can lift before our Father, a key question that is always relevant. What is the motive behind our petitions? 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, "do all for the glory of God." Do we ever stop to ponder on how what we are asking would glorify the Lord Jesus Christ? Let us as Christians avoid being self consumed and aim to magnify the Lord each day in both our prayers and our lives.
