“Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith” Heb 12:2
We live in what is called the information age. Thanks to the internet, Google, Wikipedia and the likes there is just no lack of information at all. The problem, in fact, is we have too much information that we get distracted by a lot of things we do not really need.
Martha, the Bible says, was distracted by all the things that she had to do..…supposedly for Jesus. But Jesus commended Mary more than Martha who just sat at His feet to listen. He said “Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her" Lk 10:41
What is your distraction today that eats up your time and takes your eyes and your focus away from Christ? Take inventory of your time. Focus is critical for your success. Throw away things you don’t need in your life. Balance your life. Don’t just waste 4 hrs a day watching who knows what on TV. Save your 4 hrs. That is about 20% of your life. “No one serving as a soldier”, the Bible says, “gets involved in civilian affairs” 2 Tim 2:4.
Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus.
