Financial Believing

my short answer to your question is NO, I don't believe in this. It's a lie from the pit of hell, just to be clear.

Inappropriate.

3 questions:

1) if it's not about the money, then why is your question about the money?

2) is God more satisfied with us, if we have more money?

3) show me when and where, EVER, Jesus "financially believed"?

(hint: the heavens were more satisfied with the widow's mite...and I'm pretty sure that anyone and everyone involved in the WoF "movement" wouldn't want her balance sheet. In fact, they might think they would have such a balance sheet as a result of "not having enough faith"!!)

the world needs yet another WoF believer like a fish needs a bicycle. Your being a WoF believer and future teacher, also doesn't necessarily qualify you.

If your question isn't about money why are you asking about money? :)
Does God have more satifiying in anyone over anyone?..thats not God

The fish in the water! :)

you should try listening to a WoF teacher before you try to argue against them cause that shouldn't even be a "hint" it's more like a question you should know better.

The world needs a disrespectful Christian like a monkey needs a pebble...you shouldn't disrespectfully talk to anyone whether you agree with them or not like that. You speak like I or my WoF teachers don't matter.

And being whatever denomination you are doesn't qualify you Christ qualifies me

Kenneth Hagin:

TO take one quote out of a message is like taking a sentence out of a book you don't know what the book says without allowing the rest of it...one quote doesn't make a sermon or book so trying to put down teachers based on one sentence one get you anywhere in life.

1-2 you can't argue Jesus if you heard the WoF teachings you would know a little about that kind of thing.

3. Did God not say light be? and light was? OR did you tear out the first Ch of Gensis that doesn't make no sense...

And does negative words do anything for you? Death si in the power of the tongue take a plant buy one whatever and speak death to it and take another plant and only speak life to it and watch the one you speak life to live. What this requires though if i remember righti s putting the one you speak life to in a dark closet and the other one gets the normal treatment...

I was a WoF follower in the early 90's.
Technically much of what they teach is truth
But there are added ingredients and hooks in their milk.
It is ambulance chasing and God is the insurance company and they want you to be the injured driver with an undetectable neck injury.

I would agree with s.i.e. about the widows mite but I think they would tell her to give it to pastor as seed faith money.
Are they the only guilty one's?
The baptists I went to used to pull out Malachi toward the end of every month(ye have robbed God).Once an organization is created it must feed itself and try to preserve. Most these once started with pure motives.
Can you trust anyone who has to pay a mortgage?

You also are making inappropiate words. IF your going to say something leave the hook junk out it won't help your arguement any.

Obviously you missed that message to wish i had one on me.

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to act like i was qualified for much of anything here Quenton. Nor am I trying to attempt for being qualified, as such. Someone being qualified doesn't inherrently give them more access or influence to my life, and I'll assume for now that it also doesn't allow you to submit yourself to someone any more either. At least, I hope not.

Take the pharasees, for example: they were indeed qualified. Well qualified. Jesus wasn't necessarily qualified (unless you believed in what He said He was). He did, however, have something completely different from qualification. He had authority. And he gained that authority, by being a servant. And usually, servanthood isn't associated with qualification.

But, I digress...

I wasn't meaning to talk disrespecfully to you Quenton. I meant nothing against you personally, Quenton, and I'm sorry if the issue got confused by the person, in the way I spoke (wrote). Not my intention. That said, I did talk disrespectfully about the cultish teachings of the WoF doctine that has eminated from the master of deceit himself, which they like to repurpose.

And it's not a matter of disagreement. It's a matter of puking. It's not just "my opinion". It's toxicity.

Unfortunately, I have been exposed to WoF teachers and teaching. While I've come to a place that the WoF teaching doesn't matter to me personally, it still causes me to want to hurl because it's a lie that some of the people I love are caught up in, and deceived by. So, in that senses, when I come across it, it's hard to stop my dry heaving reflux. In that sense, maybe it still matters, even to me, more than it should. Several times I've stopped myself from calling Copeland's 800 number with no intention of donating yet more money to his pyramid scheme, taking advantage of widows and orphans and those who live in lonliness, shrouded by deceit.

And if you want to throw out everything I'm saying here, be my guest. But ask yourself: would you truly want to trade your situation in life for that of the widows, who donated her last mite? Would you?

Can you imagine ANY WoF teacher TRULY trying to teach you to make such a trade??

...because if it's all about Faith, my God said she had more than any others. And that faith that she had? If anything, it was INVERSELY CORRELATED to wealth.

Think about it, my friend.

When you speak of being qualified do you mean regarding salvation? IF so how is Jesus not qualified?

What makes you qualified to talk about the WoF teachings if you've never taken the time to learn more than a likely friend has told you?

I'm currently living the widows life. Not having a lot of money but that doesn't keep me from believing God :)

And how do you know God didn't return her money a hundred fold?

Let me ask yo usomething have you ever giving everything you lived on?

As for the qualification discussion, all I meant to point out is that the pharisees had all the "credentials" necessary, but Jesus had AUTHORITY that they couldn't even dream of having.

Why do you think I have never taken the time to learn the WoF teachings, Quenton? It sounds like you want to disqualify what I'm saying for whatever reasons you can justify in your mind to do so. And you are free to do so.

The fact that you currently have the "widow's mite" balance sheet isn't my point: it's what you believe about it. It's what you are aspiring towards. And you're clear on that point. You believe there is some sort of positive correlation between faith and the good life.

How do I know God didn't return her money a hundred fold? I don't. How do you know, or believe, He did? Here's what I believe about it: I believe God operates with a currency we don't know, and can't touch. And with HIS currency, I believe she was repaid at least a hundred fold.

But it's a different currency than the kind the WoF teachers showcase.

No, I haven't ever zero'ed out my entire balance sheet. Perhaps that is further fodder for you to write me off, Quenton? Again, you seem to be looking for reasons. And you have all the right to find them.

Anyways - forget about me, and try to correlate faith with the good life through the lens of Jesus life, or any of his disciples...and then ask yourself whether that confirms, or destroys, the WoF premise:

- Jesus died on a cross
- Andrew was crucified and hung from a olive tree
- Paul was blinded, thrown in jail, hung out to dry, ultimately beheaded
- James, brother of John, was beheaded
- Stephen was stoned
- Peter was crucified by Nero

...and we could go on.

The point is, that Jesus promised trial and tribulation. His life showed an example of that. He was hated, beaten, pierced, flogged, denied, bloddied, and ultimately, put to death in a greusome and tormenting way. What part of ANY OF THAT would indicate that "health and wealth" would come along with that?? They are quite the opposite, actually.

You have not signed up for the good life, per se. It may happen, it may not...but it was not what was foretold, or forecast, by Jesus words. If anything, we were promised something quite different from what the WoF teachers expound.

I am sorry if I seem to be butting in. I was reading everyone's
comments and still don't quite understand the concept
of financial believing. Is it the belief that if you have faith
in God, money will become plentiful to you?
I feel like this is beyond my age to learn...then again everyone
can learn something new everyday. ^-^ Anyone up
to teaching this girl something new? Heehee.

so your just saying i don't matter...

No I didn't say that either, but you seem to have the habit of putting words in another's mouth.

Your free to believe and practice what you will but as I said before refrain from teaching such mendacious ideas as are found in the spurious gospel propagated by the WOF group.

Let's talk Jesus instead Quenton.

Nah i just like knowing why I am not allowed to express my beliefs in telling me i can't your saying I'm not important...I can't talk about Jesus without sharing my beliefs so if i can't express my believes i am guessing that means i will get banned if i do so...

In this thread the only one of concern is #1...

just b ecause you disagree with me doesn't make me a false prophet or teacher. You should really get a talk about #1. I teach what the word says. If you don't believe that God provides your the one believing the lie. God doesn't want us to live like the world does
