Finally hearing His voice.

I believe that I have finally opened up my heart to God. And He noticed! :)

I was struggling with a sin recently, and I was fighting against it happening. I was being tempted. I truly did not want to fall into that sin again. So I kept praying. Out of nowhere in the silence of the night, I heard "Serve Me." It gave me peace & I slept. To know that I have the authority to speak against demons that are out to get me to sin is awesome.

Then, about a week later, it happened again. I have a tattoo of a butterfly. I wish it had more meaning, I got it before I started my walk. I always glance at it and sigh. Well, one morning, I did this. And then I heard very clearly, "Behold, I make all things new." It made me stop in my tracks. I was purely amazed and humbled that He takes the time to let me know He will never forsake me. I love Jesus! :)
 
That's truly awesome sister. This simple and sincere post has blessed me and encouraged me because I too struggle to hear His voice at times. I tend to confuse myself and frustrate myself trying to hear GOD or at least figure out if what I hear comes from Him.

I am so happy that you have renewed your walk with the Lord. Satan will always try to harm us and break us away from the Lord.

You are a child of God! There is nothing that can touch you! Lean on the Lord and he will protect you and keep you safe!

You are so blessed, everyone struggles with demons and yes the Lord is never away from any of us. He never sleeps and He will protect you if you ask Him to do that.

Jesus is not going to push His way onto you and He will never enter your "space" if you don't allow Him to do so.

He knocks on the doors of our hearts and only enter if it is opened for Him to enter.
 
Love you, brothers and sisters! Thank you for all the sweet replies. It's comforting when you discover that other people struggle with the same things, and when you finally have a breakthrough, you just HAVE to share it!
 
So often when one struggles and they feel they cannot go on, they need to keep going as that is just before the breakthrough does indeed come.

When you feel like giving up, keep on going and pressing in to Jesus as He will give the breakthrough in His timing which is always perfect.

These experiences always brings a tear to my eyes. Not through sorrow, but through much joy. I feel the joy in your heart WingedGrace. Keep striving for that deeper relationship with Him (Our Father) and keep talking to Him, as it's so wonderful when He speaks to us. :love:

At the time when my mom was diagnosed with cancer she said this to me: Son remember these words today, "I am not scared as I know the Lord will never give me a cross heavier than I can carry".
There is two things I am hoping for. First that the footsteps I leave behind one day will be those that people can follow and the next is that I will go as peacefull as my mom went.
