Feeling Rejected by Bob Gass.

"..On the day you were born you were despised. Then I passed by and saw you..." Ezekiel 16: 5-6

When you've bee abused you not only carry with you the memories, but also anger over the fact that nobody stepped in to help you. Listen: "No one looked on you with pity...you were thrown out into the open field...
(Ez:16:5 NIV)

Private rejection is bad enough, but when it happens in public, you feel vulnerable and worthless. You think to yourself, "If they don't think I am worth anything, then maybe I am not." Wrong! Never allow somebody else's opinion of you to determine how you see yourself! Thats too much power to give to anybody. If others don't value your worth, that's their problem - unless you make it yours!

When people reject you, its because they don't have the ability to see inside you,or to hear the meaning behind your words, or to feel the quality of your touch. They've bought into a lie; make sure you do not buy into it also.

Until you learn to care for yourself, you wont be able to care properly for anybody else. You can only give to others out of the well of your own self esteem. Most physical abusers don't hate their families, they hate themselves. It just over flows to those nearest. Paul says "He who loves his wife loves himself" (Eph.5:28 NIV) But what if he dose'nt love himself?

"Whats the answer?" you ask. Listen "Then I passed by and saw you...."(EZ 16:6) God see's you. He loves you, and he has a wonderful plan for your life. When you can accept that, your healing has begun.

Thank you my dear brother Stephen, this is a welcome reminder for my life and it is so short and powerful that I have not one question.

May God bless you brother.
Much love

I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ unto good wor

_____This is a great message. I've dealt with rejection in my life mainly from those that are close to me. I've always resorted to going in hiding not wanting to be in the company of others afraid of the rejection re-occurring.
I allowed every word to affect me and I was no longer living. I became a people pleaser.

"If they don't think I am worth anything, then maybe I am not."

I believed in that lie, until I found out who I am in Christ.

I am complete in Him Who is the Head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10).

I am alive with Christ (Ephesians 2:5).

I am far from oppression, and fear does not come near me (Isaiah 54:14).

I am born of God, and the evil one does not touch me (I John 5:18).

I am holy and without blame before Him in love (I Peter 1:16; Ephesians 1:4).

I have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5; I Corinthians 2:16).

I have the peace of God that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

I have the Greater One living in me; greater is He Who is in me than he who is in the world (I John 4:4).

I have received the gift of righteousness and reign as a king in life by Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

I have received the power of the Holy Spirit to lay hands on the sick and see them recover, to cast out demons, to speak with new tongues. I have power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm me (Mark 16:17,18; Luke 10:17,19).

I have given, and it is given to me; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, men give into my bosom (Luke 6:38).

I can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one with my shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16).

I can do all things through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:13).

I am God’s child-for I am born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, which lives and abides forever (I Peter 1:23).

I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ unto good works (Ephesians 2:10).

This thread says it all and is very good as a reminder for us of 'who we are in Christ'

I have it stored in favourites now so I can locate it much quicker for anyone who needs to read it.

I had it from a website before but this is much better.

We need to know these scriptures so we can bring them up when needed.

God bless  :rainbow: :rose:
