Yesterday at the Olympic Games a Jamacan man ran 100 metres, in just over 9 seconds. Today I watched him win his 'heat' in the 200 metres, and with such ease. He quickly gained the lead, and then cruised a metre ahead of the rest to the finishing line. The Olympians are eulogizing his ability.
So what?
In Kenya I saw the Cheatah. The Cheatah can run at speeds of over 60 m.p.h. It can do this because God gave the Cheatah the ability to run. Man was not made primarily to run, and so we have the excitement when someone has great speed
When thou saidst "Seek ye my face, my heart said unto thee "Thy face Lord will I seek" Ps 27:8
When I pick my grandson up onto my lap he immediately begins to poke my face, poking my eyes, pulling my eybrows. I am sure that doing this he feels that touching my face he is really touching the real me
I recall a Christian Schoolmaster, who if he knew you were a Christian would ask "Where do you worship?" Not which Church, what religeon etc, but where do you worship. Not until later years I appreciated his question "Where do you worship?"
Worship is paramount in the Christian life. To worship Him.......Nothing else.........just to worship Him.....To seek His face.
"Bodily exercise profiteth little (there is profit, little) but godliness with contentment is great gain" 1Tim 4:8
Are you in touch Him, do you seek His face, who created you to worship Him.
