i am hoping to get a great discussion going on alot of the false teachings and doctrines being taught in the world today. anyone that decides to get into this discussion please use scripture to back up what is being stated.

also anyway that scripture is being twisted to teach people falsely is great.

Why discuss false teachings when you can discuss, teach and promote the Truth which exposes the false teachings anyway?

We will not discuss false doctrine. We discuss Scripture only. Scripture will do its work exposing the lies in this world.

God bless

well i agree with that and that is the same thing as we are talking about here chad. however the word of god states that iron sharpens iron. it also states that many will fall into many false doctrines and tickle the ears. it also states for us to bring one another to the knowledge and wisdom with in the bible, to help one another keep from falling, and to grow together in the body of christ.

not to mention the many ways that the word of god is being twisted to teach these people false doctrines. would you like an example of what i amj talking about?

In order to know what is false, one must seek what is true which we know as believers is the Word of GOD. I do not want to focus on false teachings but on Truth. As I said, it will expose the false teaching itself.

We focus and study the Truth foremost

Christ Lives

Ushalk, I always like your participation at Talk Jesus. A lot of us were raised on false doctrine, me being one of them.

I have found comfort in different threads when I needed it. There have been threads and posts about false doctrine and I have found them helpful to ease my confusion about Christianity. I have learned more about Christianity here at Talk Jesus, than at any church or social gathering.

Chad is right about speaking of the truth. It is good to ground yourself on the truth and faith in Jesus Christ. I find that when I come here and participate in different venues and praise and worship our Lord, I become so much closer to my love, my Lord.

A special prayer for you Ushalk, just cause you seem nice. Amen:Pixie:sun:

pixie i am not disagreeing with you or chad. however the biggest cause for people believing in these false doctrines is one lack of knowledge, that is also in the bible and also the lack of confrontation to false gospels.

when jesus saw such things throughout the gospels he directly and immediatley confronted it in the open to teach us the truth that we will not fall into these things. where has this gon. theology has taught many that confrontation is judging and wrong. this is what many of the churches believe in these days. yet we see all through out scripture where wrong was confronted, even by the apostles.

it is like a child stealing a peice of gum from the store. if it were your child would you just say oh it was just a peice of gum and your little so it was cute. i wouldnt if it were my child i would correct him not because i hate or dislike or want to judge my child but because i love him and i want him to grow up right. the same is with us staying silent to brothers and sisters in christ and those that claim to be brothers and sisters in christ.

i am not writing this to start an argument, rather because it is the truth and the word of god.

The lack of knowledge = lack of Word of GOD

That, as believers is the truth and simplest way to put it as far as I can think of.

There is no point at all to study false doctrine. It makes no sense because in order to know what is false, you must study Truth. Then why bother with 'false doctrine' when you already know the truth? There is no fruit or purpose in studying false doctrine. Just makes no sense at all.
