Falling Back

This past week has been rough for me to the point where I questioned my salvation. I fell back into porn and indulged in those same-sex attractions I used to have. I prayed ask for forgiveness and cried out, but I felt like I was getting nothing back from God and it just continued the rest of the week. I've gotten so desensitized to it that I don't feel conviction and that scares me. Please I need some help, encouragement, and pray.

Hi NB, God gave you a promise-
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord : I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16‭-‬17 NKJV

We are each of us a work in progress, this doesn't happen overnight but can be speeded up by prayer and reading the Bible. When you slip up beg forgiveness and say sorry and in faith thank and praise God that He has forgiven you, and above all, ignore the voices in your head telling you that you're a let down, unfit to even speak to God. Simple.

Remember that God chose you, knowing everything about you and how you will slip up. The Apostle Peter did several times and yet Jesus singled him out. He did the same to you despite knowing of each slip up well before he called you.

Please just try harder to improve / enhance your relationship with God with a deeper love and desire to please Him.

You can't " Fall Away" from somewhere you've never been. No body said it was going to be perfect in this life, certainly
not God, repenrt and believe God will heal you in the end! God knows your heart...give it to him, he has the capacity to love you , despite what you think of yourself... not liking what is going on in your life, is sign that you are saved; just keep trying to improve yourself and all will work out in the end!

Exercise them yourself....if you have truly repented and believe, Jesus died to give you the power to defeat the devil and his minions...they can't hurt you unless you truly do not believe!

they cannot hurt you, unless Jesus gives them permission to do so. The battle is not yours, you are not strong enough, the battle is the LORD's!

The Devil cannot not even blink unless the LORD gives him permission. Every drop of power in heaven and on earth Jesus has. YOU have no power! JESUS has it ALL:! and i know, you know how to read! and if you have a "english syntax" problem, just believe it!

Sometimes this can happen, no prayer returns void, but sometimes God just want to know we mean it.

Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will guide your paths.

1 Thessalonians 5:18. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. When we fall back into sin, as Christians, it is not negative. What happens, is, it humbles us. We realise that without the Grace of God, we can do nothing. We will never overcome the enemy in our own strength, if we could, there'd be no need for Jesus. The scripture in Thessalonians calls us to give thanks in all circumstances. So thank him that he has shown you your true condition. and thank him that he will never leave you or forsake you, that was also a promise that he made. And, if the enemy accuses you of sin, remind him that Jesus took your penalty of death and now you are a slave to Jesus and if Satan has any questions, he should refer them to the one who now has your alliegence. As for your problem with pornography hand it over to Jesus and forget it, he will deal with it.
