Faith-Works-Love (By Themselves they are only principles) But together they are righteousness.

People are trying to make a conclusion out of pieces and parts. It cant be done. Faith alone won't get you to heaven. Works alone won't get you to heaven. Love alone won't get you to heaven. That is the only conclusion. It takes all three working together .

XXX If all you have to present to God is faith, YOU ARE NOTHING.
1 Cor 13:1-2

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
James 2:14
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
James 2:17-18
17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
James 2:24
24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
James 2:26
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Rom 16:26
26 but now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith--

XXX You are saved by grace through faith. But that is NOT SALVATION. Faith only works through love.

Eph 2:8
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
(NKJ)

Luke 6:32-33
32 "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 "And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
(NKJ)

xxx Some stand on faith and some stand on works and some stand on love. They are all principles, they have to be together. So many on here are argueing just one point or part of a whole. You need to understand. Faith without works or love is dead. Works without faith or love is vanity. Love without faith or works is useless. Love is NOT AN EMOTION. Love is an action.

xxx So many are running on blind faith. They dont even know what faith is. In reality their useing trust as faith. Their different. Your faith should be in what is written, all of it. But faith alone will NOT get you to heaven. Works alone will NOT get you to heaven. Love alone will not get you to heaven. What you need is the true faith in the Word of God. If you have the true faith in the Word of God you would try your best to do the works that are in the Word. Now love is NOT a feeling but an action. And the only way to learn what Godly love is would be to do the works. That is how you learn what love is by trying to do the works. In the Word that you have put your faith in.

Rom 5:1-4
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Eph 2:18-20
18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone,
Eph 3:12
12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
(NKJ)

xxx Do you have real faith, or blind faith?? The true faith only works through love. True love is to suffer wrongfully. Your real faith only works when you are suffering wrongfully.

Gal 5:6
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
(NKJ)

1 Tim 1:5-6
5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,
6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk,
(NKJ)

xxx Even Abraham had to prove his faith with works.

[Jas 2:20-24, 26
20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God.
24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. ...
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

[Heb 6:1–3
[1] Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary [principles] of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
[2] of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
[3] And this we will do if God permits.

Faith-Works-Love (By Themselves they are only principles) But together they are righteousness.

Actually the blood of Jesus is the "righteousness".....not faith, works, and love.

Listen, the devil believes in Jesus.........did that help him?

Jesus said.....>"you must have faith, works, and love" to go to heaven? = no he did not.

That is what you are teaching, and Jesus never said that.....

Jesus said you must be born again..........."BORN AGAIN">...........this is what God requires to allow you into His Spirit and into His Kingdom........

So, "works and love" is not a part of that.....

"faith" is a part of it, but you have to have a specific type.......... You have to understand this verse......... John 14:6............and you have to go to the Cross , BELIEVING.

James 2:24
24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only

1 Cor 13:1-2

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only

Lets look at these 2 verses you posted...

The first one.....>"If i have not love"............and that is regarding a born again Christian............as if you have LOVE LOVE LOVE< and are not born again, and you die, you are goring to hell, hall, hell, and your love with you.

Your 2nd Verse..... "justified by works, and not by faith only".........So, this verse is used by heretics to try to teach that you have to be good + faith... to go to heaven.
However, if you actually study the book of James, you'll note that he puts a CONTEXT on the "works and not just faith"......and the context is......"i will show YOU my works".
See that? That is the context of "works and faith"...
""" I....will ...show......YOU">. So, the correct understanding is......>"i am bearing fruit, in FRONT OF PEOPLE">........>"i will show YOU my works"...
He is not talking about doing this in front of GOD....
He is talking about works and faith, as the evidence of a LIVING DISCIPLESHIP, that is being performed........as he says.........like this.....>"I will show YOU my works"....."my faith".
See that?
We are to do that.. We are to PROVE our works and our faith, ., in front of people.

Listen Saint.. You dont have to show God your Faith, as He can SEE IT IN YOUR HEART..........but people can't.......They only know you by your actions...,, so, its not enough to say you have faith, you have to show them, by your WORKS....... and if you have none, then your faith is proven to them to be cold, dead.....asleep......false.
That is what James is explaining.

Works-Inside And Outside

I Jn 2:4
4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
James 2:26
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
[Rev 2:26
[26] "And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations--
Matt 25:41-46
41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 'for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
43 'I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'
44 "Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?'
45 "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
46 "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
Matt 25:1-12
1 "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 "Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 "Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
4 "but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 "But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
7 "Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
8 "And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
9 "But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
10 "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!'
12 "But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
Gal 5:24-25
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

xxx You need lots of works inside crucifying your emotions. You need works outside loving others and helping them. If you have no works you have a blind faith, a useless faith. Jesus condemns those who have faith without works.

[1Jo 3:18-19
[18] My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
[19] And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

I Jn 3:17-19
17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

Matt 7:24-27
24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
25 "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 "Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
27 "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

[1Pe 1:17–19
[17] And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay [here] in fear;
[18] knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, [like] silver or gold, from your aimless conduct [received] by tradition from your fathers,
[19] but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Works-Inside And Outside

I Jn 2:4
4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
James 2:26
-

That's not the 10 commandments. Its the 2 that Jesus gave.
Keep that in mind.

Also, you can be water baptized, and try your very best to keep the commandments, and the law, and die and end up in hell, wondering what happenend.
As a matter of fact, a lot of hyper-religious ... religious but lost, died today, and are in hell. And they were church members, water baptized, and never missed a Sunday in 46 yrs.

Why are they in hell right now, as of today?

Because Jesus said........"you must be born again".

Jesus said to them, on their way to hell........>"Depart from me, i never knew you".
And why not?
Because Jesus said........'"" You must be BORN AGAIN".

Born Again Of The Spirit

Ro 6-5
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be [in the likeness] of [His] resurrection,
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [Him], that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
For he who has died has been freed from sin.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.
For [the death] that He died, He died to sin once for all; but [the life] that He lives, He lives to God.
Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
And do not present your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness to God.
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Ro 7-4
Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another--to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.
For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not [in] the oldness of the letter.
What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."
But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all [manner of evil] desire. For apart from the law sin [was] dead.
I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.
And the commandment, which [was] to [bring] life, I found to [bring] death.
Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.
For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.
For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.
If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that [it is] good.
But now, [it is] no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.
For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
I thank God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
Eph 3-14
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what [is] the width and length and depth and height--
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

xxx Those who have died to the flesh, crucified all their emotions. Died to the old testament law. Been born again of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit. Jesus will teach you now with the scriptures in the revelations of Jesus Christ. Total new testament verses. Those who have water baptism worship in the flesh. Those in the meat worship in the Spirit.

Gal 5-17
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
And those [who are] Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;
10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

XXX Righteousness is being pleasing to God. In the old testament when they were not pleasing to God they had sacrifice to fall back on. But they started useing sacrifice as a justification for sin. In the new testament God gave them a way to fall back on with repentance. But in the new testament the devil deceived them again into useing repentance as a justification for sin. Sacrifice, nor repentance is justification for sin. Obedience is the only thing that pleases God. Sin is never justified. But Jesus paid the ultimate payment for man-----IF, IF, IF, IF.
