Experiencing God

I am again taking the Henry Blackaby Bible Study course "Experiencing God". I took it a couple of years ago, and it was a life changing experience for me. It showed me many things I was doing wrong in my meek attempt at walking with my Lord. And it has really and truly enhanced my desire to learn more of what God has for me in His "personal letter" to me in the form of the Holy Bible.

Now my husband is joining me in this study and is loving it as well.. The course has been expanded and enhanced and so far I too am learning even more from it. My husband is a wonderful Christian, but at 80 years old had it his head for quite a long time that he did not need Bible study classes.. because he had been in church all of his life and knew his Bible... well, he finally decided to do this with me and "Oh My My, he is justa flying" and loving it and is smiling and just happier than I have seen him in a long time... He told me this afternoon.. " Honey, I am learning so much from this, and we are just in Unit 1 !!"

Has anyone else taken this course and did you like it and learn from it?

I read the book, and it is one of the few would recommend as a must read!

Would your husband appreciate a good laugh? (goes well with the theme of the book I think)

I once heard an old timer (no comparison to your hubby i`m sure
stand up to testify...and in a long drawl he said..."we`ll folks, i`ve been in the way forty years now..."...to wit an old lady stood up and shouted "well its high time to be gettin out of the way and lettin God move!"

This is a 13 week course, and it has sooooooooooo much wonderful directives in it. Every page give you something to ponder and really pray about. I loved the first course I took, and this one is twice as good even. I highly recommend it to everyone.
