It seems odd you would say such a thing, as Jesus tells us to have faith like a child.
So you are saying, that we should not have prayers from the heart ?
That sinners should not seek God, at thier weakest moment, because they should first become the proud card carrying member of the Admon Mikha'el Band ?
I think you really dont understand what God is telling us in His Word.
Try reading the parable of the two brothers. The younger son, a sinner. Who became the pagen. The concept of returning home is the same as any pagen seeking God.
So often it's like trying to share quantum physics with a kindergarden dropout. Faith doesn't have to do with which words you speak....You choose your words then have faith that God will do as He says He will... Bill, consider what kind of world we might have if God had simply spit out words, with no thought when He spoke the world into being....think about what we might or might not be if God had simply spewed out words when Adam sinned.
You are responsible for every single word that comes out of your mouth, because of the consequesnces of those words....Your words have the same creative power that Gods words have, and they have the power to destroy and kill too.....There are about fourteen bajillion verses that address your words...Here are a few to begin with.
Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
1 Peter 3:10 - For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
