I am going to throw this into the "gumbo" since confirmation is at the task. concerning the Biblical text referring to The Letter address to the unruly and unorthodox Assembly located in the city of "Corinth". They was doing everything, in the City "Corinth" so many different kinds of "Hocus Pocus" Religions, Greek Gods, Greek GODDESSES, Love gods, sex gods, sea gods, Temples everywhere, And they where also a lot "Glossolalia" going on! There was no Christian Buildings in "Corinth" the only "Circe" around there was "Idolatry" Temples. Just about on every corner, trinkets galore.l
The Corinth Assembly was doing all kinds of crazy stuff, One dude was sleeping with his daddies wife and everybody knew it. And did not say one word against it. And they was doing a lot more. These are newly converts who where pagans! "toga partying" specialist. Temples Orgies, "come out from among them" Women who use to be "Temple Prostitutes", "Temple Priestesses".
There was no rules or regulations, really for the new converts. And they bought a lot of that attitude into the Assemblies of believers. Even the greeks pagan worshippers who worship other gods had prophets, and priestesses, and when they change religion they brought some of that stuff with them.

Now can you see how the word "TONGUES" which means "languages" turns into a "Glossolalia". Easy. And don't forget, just because you got a greek Lexicon don't mean they had one. LOL!

I going to say, right now. The devil ain't no dummy. He is smart, you need Jesus to combat him. He does have his hands in "Definitions" and word changes, Etymology.

Some might say; Well the greek word for this, and it means this. LOL. What you are reading sometimes in your Bible ,today, there was no greek word relating to that in the context you are reading when it was spoken. So a word was skip in to days context of the greek language because they did not need a "bridge word" for that portion. The people had common sense in that vernacular.

Yrs. I'd say well-intentioned but misguided prayers don't do any harm. And they probably don't do too much good.

A verse about a roaring lion skulking about looking for someone to devour comes to mind.....What makes that person a target? Satan is an opportunist, a legalist and whether or not you want to believe it, the world lives by legalities....Jesus had to be born into a human body because it would have been illegal for Him to simply kick Satan off the planet... Even God has to abide by the rules, even though God made the rules....Satan is working within the rules set out and he is a good lawyer.
God created all that is by Words and gave us the same abilities....There is a lot of scriptue that warns us to be careful of our words, and for good reason...We're told of the power of the tongue, how our words can heal or destroy....Do you think thats just words to fill the book? You need to take a deeper look into the subject

I will say this again the English word is Language. Not a trump up word with a new different meaning with your own definition "TONGUES" how come so many
people are so blind to a simple meaning of a simple word! And gave a HOODOO meaning to a plain word! the english word is LANGUAGES! Talking ABOUT WALKING IN THE DARK! IF I SAY TREE, you say car! No it is a tree, you say no it is a car! LOL! Hypothetically, if you got the word Languages wrong pertaining to the BIBLE, hypothetically, and use this same concept and Hermeneutics on your approach to other portions of the Bible.

But please read the real "History" of " AZUSA Street" and early 1st. century attempt of another group to raise a "Glossolalia" movement.

PS. Most people are only reading weak "translations, Paraphrases, Mix paraphrases blended into weak translations. that are Bias. Because they are easy to read and there is a demand for easy reading bibles.

The murmurings of the Spirit, which are too deep for any man to hear, translate, add, and correct for us during intercession / prayer. I know there have been things I had not words for, which uttered forth intangible, yet felt. I cannot always find the "perfect words" , but the Lord receives and understands perfectly!

I do feel this way about unbelievers, or fakes: a man who wanted me to get him alcohol insisted he wanted to pray when I offered to pray for him of his addiction, and he insisted and began immediately and said that he heard not to turn to the right hand nor to the left, and he said God bless America, and things, and I percieved in my Spirit his prayer was evil. Sure enough, he retained insisting I get him alcohol , and rejected food and water , but ate grapes off the ground.

My own mother prayed we all die together, and I *knew*, though I was younger in my venture, it was wicked. I closed the prayer, but my soul did not affirm it, and I opened a private prayer to tell the Lord I did not affirm this wickedness ; but how could I correct my own blasphemous Mother!?

It concerns what shall come forth from the mouths of those praying, because my very soul has been offended at their blasphemies! People I *thought* to be part of the body saying and wanting evil in their hearts and defiling with their lips that speak perversion and lies!

As for me, I have spoken things in prayer and been corrected in troubling and even fear, not knowing what I was saying, nor understanding the severity thereof! I have even had to pray as to what to pray for, when I know there is something wrong, and cannot discern what, especially not with clarity for words! It is a great Comfort to have the Holy Spirit interceed with mmurmurings!

Why can't I edit my post? I wanted to add that I have many medical and other problems that I have prayed healing for and not yet received. Maybe I simply need to build up my trust, faith, and to have my views corrected. Maybe I am a weaker sister, right now.

ABBA has granted us that "wine be medicine unto us and not evil" on for those bottles we blessed in observing of high Sabbaths, only.

ABBA has made it achievable to eat my allergy foods with my bro, without harm, even though I was bitter, knowing I was not going to be able to prove I had those allergies, and had gone in expecting to suffer, but believing we needed this occasion to eat together in piece.

In affirmation and doubtless faith (even if one has little faith), prayer is powerful. Even alone it is. But it helps to have a fellow in Yahoshua, because it strengthens our faith to see theirs, where 2 are gathered together in Yahoshua's name. Things 1 of us never thought to pray, and faith I'm areas we were lacking is strengthening, teaching, correcting, and comforting to whitness and percieve in the Spirit. But, we must accept these things for good, and learn not to put that we aren't good enough, not put one another down for being the weaker sibling in our Lord.

Strange title?...I don't think so... I will only agree with prayers that line up with Gods Word...for good reason.

Prayer must be in agreement with the Word....If you pray in agreement with the Word, you are praying God's will.
Conversely, if you pray opposite to the Word you are not praying God's will...and you cannot expect God to answer.

So, Question...If God cannot answer your prayer because it's not in accordance with His Word...Who will answer it?
Satan and his demons just hang around you continually listening to every single word you speak...and they are legalists...They will take every empty, thoughtless, and profane word you speak, and use it against you...Just like in court...Profane, by the way, means words that contradict Gods Word. Praying opposite of Gods word is like running into a gale force wind...You burn all of your energy and get nowhere.

I've heard so many Christians praying "Oh God, If it be they will, heal me." IF it be His will? Really? What does the Word say? Its Gods will that ALL of His kids walk in perfect health, always..look at 1 Peter 2:24 You were healed...THere is no 'if' there...
Its God's will that His kids prosper in all areas...and not live in poverty...
3 John 2 Dear friend, I am praying that everything prosper with you and that you be in good health, as I know you are prospering spiritually. (Yes Financial prosperity fits in there too) Yes financial is a part of 'everything'.

I believe people forget did the Bible is the Cornerstone of Our Lives it is not the whole building. Jesus referred to himself as a Cornerstone and that we are to build our building on that Cornerstone.

So when we see the mother Robin pushing the young out of the nest to fly we understand that is it in God's nature for us to learn to walk on their own or to fly on her own.
