Does your Christian, Biblical Worldview provide you with the foundation you need to answer all of life's tough questions? Do you have a solid foundation to hold up your Christian Worldview? A true, effective Christian should be firm in these four foundational pillars. First, how do you answer the age old question, "Where did I come from?" The origin of man has been subject to a plethora of scientific speculation.
Do these theories shake your faith in God, or do you allow Scripture to answer this all-important question? The Bible clearly explains creation from an intelligent Creator. God spoke, and the cosmos were created. The second question that begs to be answered is, "What went wrong?" Again, we've seen a host of ideas, theories, and philosophies to answer this one, but Scripture calls it sin. Rebellion against God has damaged the human heart and separated us from His love. Which leads us to the third question, "How can it be fixed?" This is where having a Christian Worldview is vitally important.
Down through the ages, humans have sought to answer this probing question. Communism, Nazism, Darwinism, and Humanism, just to name a few. The failure of all these "ism's" is their failure to properly understand the first two questions. They all start with faulty premises, believing man is basically good, or that man is just a biological creature. Only in Scripture do we find the true, tri-level nature of man explained. And it's this missing supernatural component that offers the answer to this question. Spiritual redemption is the only cure for the desperately wicked heart of man, and only Jesus Christ can make this offer.
This, of course, leads to the final question of, "Where am I headed?" For the Christian, beyond redemption we have the promise of restoration. Jesus Christ has gone on ahead of us and has promised us complete restoration for all eternity in a place called Heaven. These are the four pillars of a Christian Worldview, and they come from the Bible. Having a firm foundation will help you weather the storms of life, giving you an anchor to hang on to. Don't let vain philosophies or traditions of men rock your boat. They've got questions, and we've got answers. Open your Bible, open your heart, and renew your mind. God be with you all...
