Lately I've been watching "Left Behind" movies, it talks about the anti-Christ mainly,

But does he know he is it? I've heard that he will be a powerful political person, but he is only a human right? he isn't Lucifier?

I read this article that said even satan doesn't know who will be the anti-Christ but in each generation he tries to transform people into him, like Hitler for example.

Jesus knew He was God and The Messiah from childhood, would the Anti-Christ know who he is or the events will just turn him into him?

No. Satan is the great deceiver. No one who is anti-Christ consciously believes in God and that's there is a hell. If they did, they would be terrified of it.

And that's why Satan's biggest deception is; "I don't exist." So people who joke about 666 and are involved in Satanic cults think it's a game to shock those who believe in God. That's also why the anti-Christ will deceive the world that he truly IS God. And more insidiously, he will deceive people that the mark of the beast is a harmless computer chip because...well....everyone else is doing it so it must be harmless.

what?

No one who is anti-Christ consciously believes in God and that's there is a hell. If they did, they would be terrified of it.( Prove the "NO ONE" PART),How about the first word (ANTI) would this not represent that this person is the opposite of,ref to they know of or belive in, but are in disagreement or disobedient to?

Psalm 14:1, "The fool says in his heart; "There is no God."

Psalm 10:13, "Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, 'He won't call me to account.?"

All you have to do is go to an atheist forum to see that they don't believe in God. :wink:They deny he exists. Pagan religions are also deceived into believing that idols of bronze, wood or stones are gods. So they also deny the one true God.

However, as Romans 1:1 explains, wicked men suppress the truth of God because of their wickedness. Suppression means to deny in one's conscious mind what he knows to be true in his subconscious mind. Examples are un-recovered alcoholics who deny they have a drinking problem and atheists who deny they sin.

But Satan and his demons absolutely know that God exists as James 2:19 and Job 1 explain. Their job is to lead as many people away from God as possible before they themselves are destroyed. They do that by deceiving mankind into believing that there is no God and that good is evil and evil is good.

Just 'off the cuff' sister.

I 'assume' that the Ant-Christ that final superman able to solve world problems, bringing nations together, and gather a great following, is at this moment unaware....in part of not completely, of his destination.

He is at the political fore somewhere today, at the forefront without doubt. I supect him to be either Muslim or a Jew.

"Lift up your heads.......for your redemption draweth nigh"

If he's alive today, then he's as unaware of his destination as the rest of us are unaware of what tomorrow will bring.

We have to be aware that so many people will believe him, I don't know about you, but this really scares me, I mean even Christians could doubt themselves and follow him, those we know or those we love, and I even asked myself, would it be me too?

People will be encouraging him, supporting evidence, debates, people would fear not believing, I really pray that if this time comes while this generation is still alive, we'd keep the truth we've learned about.

One can unfortunately be confident that most people who call themselves Christians will be deceived by the anti-Christ. Jesus tells us in MT. 24:10-12 that many will grow away from the faith and that the love of most will grow cold.

That unfortunately, is born out by recent statistics that I read in the newspaper; 57% of Evangelicals do not believe that Jesus is the only way to God and a whopping 83% of "Christians" in mainline churches do not believe that Jesus is the only way to God! That's well over three quarters of people who call themselves Christians who are not true Christians. No wonder I'm lonely!

And unfortunately, it can only get worse in order for the anti-Christ to be so accepted and revered by the world. So we elect need to stand firm.

I have a question...is it really important if the anti-Christ knows whom they are? I mean...I would think that it would be more important to know the signs and to stand firm in our beliefs of Jesus as Messiah, etc then to worry about if the anti-Christ knows who they are or not. Just my two cents.

I just think to fight anything, you must be fully aware of it, you need information for your transformation.

Once you know everything you wanna know, you'd have no excuse infront of God, if you fall. God would judge those who knew more than anyone, harder than anyone.

1 John 2:18 declared that even back many centuries ago there existed many antichrists. The whole of all of them are today embodied in the example of one personage the "Anti-Christ". There is no Bible evidence of a single person holding all the essence of "antichrist", since scripture says "many" are so identified. Each of them know their stance. All know they oppose Christ. Together they practice opposition to God, grace, faith, and all that pertains to the word of God. Together they will as a group be dealt with by God at the right time. But for now you probably already know who some of them are, and know that by the signs given in scripture. Yes, be aware of however many you can identify, beware of their words, and go on the offensive by continually declaring the gospel of Christ Jesus. Some might believe and be rescued through your evangelism!

This is not true. Please read the below portion of a gotquestions.org article quoting 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Who is the man of lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians 2:1?12?

Question: "Who is the man of lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12?"

Answer:
The man of lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12 is the Antichrist who will come on the world scene at the beginning of the Day of the Lord. This Day, sometimes called the “end times,” starts after the rapture of the church in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:1–11). It is good to note that the Day of the Lord is not a twenty-four-hour period of time; rather, it is an extended period of time that includes the seven-year tribulation, the return of Christ to put down all rebellion against Him, the 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth, the final defeat of Satan, and the Great White Throne Judgment.

The Antichrist is given the title “man of lawlessness” because he will oppose in every way the biblical God and His law. He will be completely lawless. Daniel 7 speaks of this man as a “boastful” king who will “try to change the set times and the laws” (verses 11 and 25). He will come offering a false peace to the world and will with his charismatic personality, incredible promises, and breathtaking miracles unite all nations politically, economically, and religiously under his leadership. At the same time, he will make a covenant with Israel for three and one-half years (cf. Daniel 9:27, where “seven” indicates seven years). In the middle of the seven years, the man of lawlessness will break his covenant with Israel, stop their sacrifices (Daniel 9:27), and enter the temple to set himself up as “god” and demand worship (2 Thessalonians 2:4). This is the “abomination that causes desolation” that Jesus spoke of in Mark 13:14.

Satan works through the Antichrist, for Satan himself is not able to become incarnate. By possessing and controlling the Antichrist, Satan is worshipped in the temple where the biblical God is to be worshipped. No wonder the Antichrist is called the man of lawlessness. To act as “god” is the ultimate rejection of the biblical God’s character and laws.

This action of the Antichrist will cause an upheaval in his worldwide kingdom, and forces from the East will gather to fight against him. But instead of fighting each other, the forces of the world unite to fight the King of kings and Lord of lords, who comes to put down the man of lawlessness and his allies in the great battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16:16; 19:19). Of course, the man of lawlessness loses that battle. He and his false prophet are then cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20). The Word of God (Revelation 19:13), Jesus Christ, will be the Victor.

A quick observation of the happenings in our world today reveals that lawlessness is on the rise. Such lawlessness will continue and increase (2 Timothy 3:13), and when the man of lawlessness appears on the scene, he will be welcomed with open arms. Those who have rejected the true Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, will fall for the Antichrist’s empty promise of peace. It is vitally important that each of us is sure that we have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and are living for Him. “Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come” (Mark 13:33).

The devil is mostly a smooth moved of his puppets .i think by many anti Christs it referred to many being a part or a pawn of this move of the anti Christ . As each add there own stepping stones to the path of tribulation I believe the one to end this earthly rein and usHe I'm the coming of out Lord wil be so vain he will never see it coming .....Rev

Be close

Be so close to Jesus that it doesn't matter who the anti-Christ turns out to be. Be so close to Him that you trust Him with your very life and breath. Your life is in his hands, after all, not the anti-Christ. Those that should be fearful are those that are not saved. And they are much more likely to be deceived. But then the bible does say that "even some of the elite will believe" in the anti-Christ. I don't know about you, but I would just be more interested in being close to God than being (elite). Elite, to me, sounds like an "important" person, like a religious leader or important political leader or someone who holds a position of intellectual abilities. I think satan can fool people with great minds. Because the mind can fool you. But with Jesus in your HEART...you cannot fail whether you live or die, you are His! Give your mind, heart, soul, and body over to the One who matters and the One who loves you.

Hi!
Note: The Scriptures speaks of anti-CHRIST and not anti-JESUS. The anti-Christ is exactly what it's named ... anti-Christ.That should be your first clue.
Another clue: it's the Gospel OF Jesus, (not about Jesus), which we need to learn and follow after; (Matthew 24:14), After all, it's the Gospel of Jesus which will clearly give answer to your question.
Since it's named the anti-CHRIST, you would do well to learn more about the term 'Christ' ... the meaning of the Name and designation. Once you have understood that for yourself, you'll be well on your way to answering your question.

Here's a start-off thought to work with:
If a child should decide on his 10th Birthday to remain at that particular stage of his development and maturity, it could be said that he's 'anti-adulthood'. He prefers a prolonged adolescence.
In the same way, after a Christian hears and accepts the Gospel of Repentance, (Matthew 3:3), it's expected that he will begin to acquaint himself with the the Gospel of the Kingdom and mature and develop according to God;s purposes for his life.
Such a child of God prefers the warmth of the womb and not the new birth Thereby showing his attachment to the spirit of 'anti-Christ'.

Matthew 4:23 :
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Matthew 9:35 :
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Mark 1:1 :
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
Mark 1:14 :
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God

Many Antichrists

I must admit I do not seek out the opinions of various websites. My Bible versions conclude there are many antichrists spread over many generations that make up the whole of "Antichrist" across all generations of mankind. The word "man" in scriptures often refers to all people, down to one individual. Tradition leads us to watch for a particular individual, while scriptures also indicate a whole class of people ("many") . Looking for one man in the whole world could be a deception, causing Christians to ignore the major group of unbelievers who are actively against Christ Jesus in the midst of every genration. ISIL, Hamas, etc. exemplify but small parts of the whole of the body of "antichrist", while hopefully those believers subscribing to the whole of the Body of Christ comprise the "other Man", the "Second Adam", Jesus our Christ and Lord. There are only two "Men" groups that pertain to eternity. One is corrupt ("Anti-Christ") and destined for eternal damnation, the other begetting many sons of God for eternal promise of glory with God. This is not to say there will not be one particular human male representing all of the body of antichrists at the last generation on earth, as has happened in the presence of some Roman emperors and the like. In the same way the "Church". It is not limited to the single individual "Jesus", but to the whole of believers "in Christ". Certainly there will be at the end one individual identified belatedly as "The Antichrist" like wwere some really despotic emperors, but until he is revealed, it is to my take on scriptures far more pertinent that Christians recognize the many antichrists in the world, then deal with them in the here and now. Each generation of men (including women) have been tasked to deal with the world of antichrists, often going to war to preserve civilization. If the Church can't identify the present "Man of Sin" (many antichrists), many members of the Church will likely be deceived by the last Man of Sin who rises to power by hiding behind the whole body of antichrists.

It's possible both sides are right here.
I also agree there have been many "anti-christs" through the ages. Hitler, perhaps Alexander, perhaps Napoleon, Antiochus Epiphanes comes to mind.
But on the other hand, I do think there will be one final anti-christ that will be more evil than all the others.

Does he know he is he anti-christ? I don't know. Did Judas know he was going to betray Jesus? Perhaps not until the very end. I think he didn't know until the last
72 hours or so. But of course at the end he did realize it.

Is knowing there is really a hell enough to stop someone? Hmmm.. did satan know there was a hell before he rebelled against God?
I know wiccans and satan worshipers, they believe there is a hell (some don't believe they are going there, others do but they don't care)
Yet others believe this life is hell and when you die everyone goes to heaven. I know people who say they were Christians, some were even pastors
and missionaries. They believe in God, Jesus and hell. But they say they aren't following that way anymore.
The Bible says even the demons believe in God (and shudder) so I'm not sure knowing there is a hell is enough to prevent some people from doing what
they want to do. (Hey, even Christians sometimes do what they want to do - Paul mentioned doing this) For many people it's all about now and this life
and it doesn't matter about what comes after. (If there even is an "after"). Finally many people I know who say they have never been Christians believe in God and hell.
For them, they may go to hell, but to them that isn't that bad. They think they will either be in place of darkness, or simply destroyed (soul and all) so the torment
of hell is only for a few seconds. Of course the Bible doesn't say this. It says they will burn eternally. Have you ever had a bad blister on your hand? The kind
that burns all the time. You can't touch anything, you can't even take a shower without it hurting. Imagine that all over your body, forever and ever.
Some people I know even agree this will happen to them, but they don't care for some reason.

The whole world under the influence of satan is anti Christ, so you could say that the whole earth's population, minus the Christians, are anti Christ, but THE anti Christ is the beast in Revelation 13, who rises up out of the sea and abyss.

Hi! 'James1523'
First of all, yuh had me fooled fer a bit 'cuz I had assumed that your Nick referenced a Bible verse. :)
Ummm, your quote of Rev 13 "rises out of the sea" has me needing to ask you: What do you think the sea and abyss are?
Thanks!

Well it does reference bible verses, James 1:5-23. And your nickname and informal language style assumes to me that you are of African descent and enjoy the company of teenagers and possibly rappers :) Joking.
The sea is the Mediterranean sea, sea in scripture is often a reference to the Gentile nations surrounding Israel, in the Mediterranean sea. Whereas "land" on the other hand, refers to the nation of Israel. The anti-Christ's body will come from there, genetically or in spirit he will be part Greek, part Roman and (secretly, like Hitler was) part Jewish (the book of Daniel reveals this information). The abyss is the bottomless pit, the deepest part of hell where the anti-Christ's spirit comes from. Does this make sense? This is another way of saying he's a really bad guy who is a Gentile but has Jewish ancestry. The Bible could just say this but saying "rises out of the sea, and abyss" is much more vivid and easier for the reader to remember, keeping in mind that John was watching a movie in God's cinema, so what he saw was all in pictures.
