It is just a question with the interest of what the reaction would be. I am not implying that He doesn't, but sometimes I wonder since so few find their way to heaven. One slip up and we are burning in hell.
No one 'finds their way to heaven' on their own -- the Holy Spirit covicts a person of their sin -- and when He's convicting we know it. We need to acknowledge our personal need For salvation -- My personal sins that makes Me a sinner.
Then we believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our / my/ sins and that He rose again bodily on the 3rd day after His death. He went to hell 'in my place / for me'. And I acknowledge that nothing I can do personally will help my salvation happen. I achnowledge that it's all of Jesus Christ -- His shed blood is sufficient to take care of my sins. And I thank God for His gift of salvation and I accept His gift.
If it were based on our good works -- then-- yes, one slip up and we're going to end up in lake of fire and brimstone.
But Once a person Does accept Jesus Christ -- the Holy Spirit comes to indwell us and That changes us Inside. We will have New , Better desires to read and obey God's Word. And we will have the Holy Spirit to guide us. When we Do mess up -- He will let us know so that we can acknowledge that wrong thing and ask forgiveness. It's not being saved again. It's just keeping a good relationship between us and God. And that gives us inner peace that feels really good.
