You hear things like "Jesus isn't a religion or a doctrine" in some churches today.

I kind of agree... I don't believe a single denomination has a monopoly on Biblical truths.
I believe people from many different Christian denominations will be saved.

However... doctrine does make a difference. What we believe does matter.
The word doctrine simply means what is taught, a creed, a dogma, a belief, theology.

Whether we like to admit it or not... we all have a doctrine of some type. Even saying
I have no doctrine, is having a doctrine. (The doctrine of having no doctrine).

But the Bible makes it clear, most won't make it to heaven, even some who say they believe in Jesus
won't make it to heaven. Whatever you believe about this, is your doctrine.

The New testament warns about false doctrines over a dozen times.
Matt 15:9; Mark 7:7; Eph 4:14; 1 Tim 1:3; 1 Tim 4:1; 1 Tim 4:6; 1 Tim 6:1-3; 2 Tim 4:3; Titus 1:9;
Titus 2:1; Titus 2:7-10;

2 Pet 2:1; talks about false prophets and false teachers... why would the Bible warn about these things
so many times if doctrine doesn't matter?
