Not at all. So, are you saying that, in truth, your actions remain unaffected by the outcomes—whether good or evil—when you are following the commands of Jesus besides feeling guilty? If so, I still have issue with you, but not in following the commands of Jesus, but in making the situational point you did to Sister in Christ in the example you used. You come across as quite inconsistent, if one were to compare both what you are doing now, and the historical issue of the past. For if you have angst against the resulting actions of the past, then you should also have it so for your resulting actions of the present. That I believe, needs to be in greater evidence in what you write, as a follower of the commands of Jesus. Otherwise, it has one seeing you as not even considering the negative resulting actions and believing that only the positive results are what occurs from your actions. By your own words, history shows they were not true then, nor are they true now, just as our Sister has stated.

By the by, this just circles around what I have already pointed out to you. Considering the outcomes when one follows the saying, "what’s good for the goose is good for the gander." This is apparently not true, and either you must ignore in its entirety as being irrelevant or a consideration before acting. If the former, then you're using of said historical examples is really disingenuous on your part, because it's irrelevant to why you do what you do except in the initial consideration of how it has benefitted you in your own experiences/desires that moved you to act in the first place.

If you see what I am saying, then you should also, be able to see why Sister @Twistie would consider your actions evil.

Why the guilt then? If your actions would remain the same, there should be none, unless you're questioning the very action in the first place as being the correct thing to do. Didn't I tell you that before? Let the guilt go, and when judgment day arises, stand for what you believed was right to do according to the understanding you had at the time.

This is why I added the last line above, that I did. Do not expect anyone else to see your actions as being anything but evil, when the outcome of your resulting actions brings evil upon others.

Answered in the first part above.

Oh, brother I have tried to see what you have done, in your attempt in following the commands of Jesus. I am not you brother, that is able to ignore or set aside if you will, the negative results of my own actions, and think it's not my reasoning that might be at fault and continue to do it regardless over and over again. And so, my words to you before, that you are standing for what you believe is right for everyone else, but don't expect them or anyone else to see it if evil results from them.

With the Love of Christ Jesus Brother Steve.

Hubby is like your mean im like no i speak Truth and apparently taken a nice meek approach is not what these people respond too imma mess i admit but on a real tip my boys when they talk to me know better then to spit this garbage out..im a stickler on self responsibility..n rules..i can not have chaos around me ya know..im trying to learn to be nice : unamused:

(。♡‿♡。)
I think you should listen a little bit more to your "Hubby" and adopt a little more humility and meekness into your faith. You dont speak the truth, you speak what you believe to be the truth, theres a big difference between them that you really need to understand. Do you ever think that you just might be wrong?, i guess you dont but are convinced of your own righteousness. in the Beatitudes Christ said in Matthew 5:3" Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven", and in Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth", do you see yourself as meek and poor in Spirit?,......... in Luke 18: 9-14 Christ told the story of the Pharisee and the Publican, " 9To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’13“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’14“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”, which one do you most identify with, the Publican or the Pharisee?,.... and in Micah 6:8 we are told, "What does the Lord require of you but to act Justly, to love Mercy and to walk HUMBLY with your God, are Justice, Mercy and humility the bedrock of your faith?.......and who are "these people" you refer to, the ones that disagree with you, you have really got to understand that you, like ALL of us, have our BELIEFS" as to what our faith entails, and when you understand that and listen to what others have to say instead of preaching your own "truths" and expecting others to accept them and condemning anyone that doesnt agree with you as "walking in Darkness" or "possessed", or whatever else you describe them as,, then perhaps you just might start to build your faith on the Rock of Christs truth and not the shifting sands of your own personal beliefs and prejudices.

Umm why do you think i would sit n sup on the words of a wicked one? I will know them by their fruits..just because your blind to the Word of God does not mean all are..

Your wicked

Your wicked ways are leading ya closer n closer with the devil himself you how old and you cant even make a decision thats really sad...
May the Lord rebuke you
. using His Almighty Word as a pass to walk with darkness your one of them dangerous ones one that has no loyalty..been brainwashed by the world and its ways .. imma pray for those around you to be covered with protection from your twisted ways..
So show me where my " wicked ways are leading ya closer n closer with the devil himself", tell me how i'm "using His Almighty Word as a pass to walk with darkness your one of them dangerous ones one that has no loyalty..been brainwashed by the world and its ways",.... tell me how by quoting Christs words i'm "walking in Darkness", so i'll ask again, not expecting a reply but if you dont ask then you wont receive " Well then dont "sit n sup on my wicked words", for i know you would find that unpalatable, but sit n sup[ on the words of Christ, eat and drink of his truth and his teachings, and tell me where he says we must prioritise our own above others and turn "Strangers " away because of the Evil they may do, for ive shown you that in fact Christ says exactly the opposite in Matthew 5:44-48, Matthew 25 :31-46, Matthew 22:39, and Luke 6 :31-36, so which of us " have no moral grounds not a Lick of the righteous of Christ dwelling in you..your like a wave in the ocean crashing back in forth your a weak evil wicked person, your words reveal what you are ",.... for if we dont build our lives upon the solid rock of Christs teachings and commandments and follow our own prejudices and beliefs then we are truly lost in the shifting sands of our own foolishness."

You make numerous accusations about my "Walking in Darkness" and being led " closer and closer with the Devil" and of being "Possessed by an imp " or whatever, but provide no reasoning for why you believe this to be true. Is all this because i disagree with your so called "truths" and use Christs words to show why i disagree, i really dont know why youre acting the way you are, i've told you why i believe what i do, perhaps you'd do the same and tell me why you believe what you do

I hope ive made it clear Brother Nick that although i try to follow the teachings and commandments of Christ, as i believe we are commanded to do in Matthew 7:24-27 and Luke 6 :46, i still feel guilty about the outcomes of my actions, for if we have Love and compassion in our hearts and suffering results from the way we act, even though our actions were taken with the best of intentions and in fulfillment of our Faith, how can we not feel some guilt for the resultant suffering we may have caused. But are you saying, that we should judge each of Christs commandments from our own personal Moral and ideological beliefs and prejudices and come to a decision as to whether following Christs commandments would result in an adverse reaction, and if we believe it would, then we are not bound as Christians , to follow Christs commands, but that they become more like "Codes of Conduct" Subject to our own subjective reasoning as to their outcome if followed?.
By the by, this just circles around what I have already pointed out to you. Considering the outcomes when one follows the saying, "what’s good for the goose is good for the gander." Let me be clear Brother Nick,, i believe that we should "welcome the stranger", especially those fleeing poverty, war, persecution or whatever suffering theyre having to endure, but that doesnt preclude me from condemning the resultant actions of those "strangers", if in this case they resort to Murder, rape, theft and Genocide. However, i am a wretched sinner myself, and while i try to follow Christs teachings am aware of the huge gap between what i should do and what i actually do, and pray for Gods Grace, Forgiveness and Mercy. All i say must be taken in the context of understanding that i may be wrong and i hope i have the humility to admit when i am and change accordingly.
If you see what I am saying, then you should also, be able to see why Sister @Twistie would consider your actions evil.
I fail to see that Brother Nick, if we are following Christs commandments and teachings, even if that results in what we perceive to be an adverse situation, how can that be Evil. ?Or do you believe that we can commit Evil even when we follow Christs commandments?.
Why the guilt then? If your actions would remain the same, there should be none, unless you're questioning the very action in the first place as being the correct thing to do. Didn't I tell you that before? Let the guilt go, and when judgment day arises, stand for what you believed was right to do according to the understanding you had at the time.

The guilt is in witnessing the suffering of others as a result of my actions, even though as ive said they were made with the best of intentions, of following the Teachings and Commandments of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Perhaps a little story might explain better, its not a religious story but might just suffice. Many years ago i was working at a local RSPCA kennels, an animal charity here in the UK. I was walking to work one Sunday morning when i came across a stray dog, he was really friendly , old, shaggy haired and when i stroked him i could feel every one of his ribs and vertebrae, he was so thin. So i fed him my sandwiches , which he devoured ravenously. I was now left with a dilemma, do i take him to the kennels where he'd be looked after, fed and housed, but only for 7 days, after which he'd be put to sleep if not claimed or re-homed, which was highly unlikely given his present state, or do i leave him on the streets in the hope, however thin, that he might survive on the streets, dodging the cars, those that might abuse him , and the hunger. So i took him to the kennels, he was put in my block where i fed him, housed him and walked him daily until the day i had to walk him up to the office where his life was ended, it broke my heart. I believe i did the right thing, but the guilt of what happened as a result of my actions still stays with me 50 years later.

For me its a simple Faith Brother Nick, am i commanded to follow Christs commands and teachings or not, i believe i am ,irrespective of the results of those actions, but i do so in the knowledge of what a wretched sinner i am, the humility that i may be wrong and the guilt of the suffering that may be caused because of my actions.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart".

We must of course obey the law and those in authority, unless those laws go against the teachings and commandments of Christ/God as illustrated in Acts 5 :27-32 " 27The apostles were brought in and made to appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest. 28“We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.” 29Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings! 30The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. 31God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. 32We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” and in Matthew 7: 21-27 Christ said " 21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’24“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”, and in Luke 6:46 Christ says " 46“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?", our sole allegiance is to Christ alone and where there is a conflict between Mans Laws and Christs commandments we must ALWAYS follow the commandments of Christ.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.
