Do pets get to go to heaven?

p8ntballer

I dont know for sure but I dont think they do... but not sure...nice to meet you !

I honestly do not think that GOD would destroy His beautiful creation, as in leave out portions in the New Jerusalem (new Heaven).

His creation is perfect. His Son Jesus paid the price to redeem us. Every other creature below us were infected with our sins, but they cannot sin so therefore they are "innocent" creatures / animals. I highly doubt GOD would leave them behind. They are too awesome to be left behind :)

Theological view R.C. Sproul -
"The Bible tells us that we have the image of God in a way that animals do not. Now is the image of God what differentiates between a soul and a nonsoul? Those who take a Greek view of the soul - that it is this substance that continues indestructibly forever - may want to restrict that to human beings. But again, there's nothing in Scripture I know of that would preclude the possibility of animals continued existence.

The Bible does give us some reason to hpe that departed animals will be restored. We read in the Bible that redemption is a cosmic matter. The whole creation is destined to be redeemed through the work of Christ. (Rom 8:21) and we see the images of what heaven will be like; beautiful passages of Scripture tell us about the lion and the lamb and other animals being at peace with one another. Whenever heaven is described, though it maybe in highly imaginative language, it is a place where animals seem to be present."

For my part I agree with Chad on all he states. My human mind can't even begin to wrap around the splendor God has in store, but to look at it the opposite way I don't know that I could say heaven would be completley perfect without my pack of dogs.

it depends if you can spell heaven right!
no, pets dont go to heaven, heaven doesnt even exist. its absurd, god is not real he died thousands of years ago. anyway the bible was written before jesus and god, that means the bible is not by god or jesus

Poor wretched mis-guided soul, why do you come to TalkJesus and talk junk!

That person is deleted from the site.

Some have nothing better to do than to completely expose their foolishness in the light

I hope pets will go to Heaven. God knows we love them dearly and each pet shows love and personality. I can't imagine God doesn't keep them after creating them.

Exactly what I'm thinking too. Amen

I hope animals do go to heaven. If they do, I'm going to have a zoo LOL. I have had many pets in my life, including a rat named Delilah. Weird, I know. I have had the same dog named Mytzi since I was 15 and I absolutely cannot imagine heaven without her!

I don't know for sure because the Bible is mainly concerned with mankind's salvation.

Amen. We are the ones in need of grace here and grace we have in Christ Jesus!

This confirms animals in Heaven

Isaiah 11

A Branch from David’s Line

1 Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot—
yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.
2 And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3 He will delight in obeying the Lord.
He will not judge by appearance
nor make a decision based on hearsay.
4 He will give justice to the poor
and make fair decisions for the exploited.
The earth will shake at the force of his word,
and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked.
5 He will wear righteousness like a belt
and truth like an undergarment.

6 In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together;
the leopard will lie down with the baby goat.
The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion,
and a little child will lead them all.
7 The cow will graze near the bear.
The cub and the calf will lie down together.
The lion will eat hay like a cow.
8 The baby will play safely near the hole of a cobra.
Yes, a little child will put its hand in a nest of deadly snakes without harm.
9 Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,
for as the waters fill the sea,
so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord.

10 In that day the heir to David’s throne
will be a banner of salvation to all the world.
The nations will rally to him,
and the land where he lives will be a glorious place.
11 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time
to bring back the remnant of his people—
those who remain in Assyria and northern Egypt;
in southern Egypt, Ethiopia, and Elam;
in Babylonia,Hamath, and all the distant coastlands.
12 He will raise a flag among the nations
and assemble the exiles of Israel.
He will gather the scattered people of Judah
from the ends of the earth.

13 Then at last the jealousy between Israel and Judah will end.
They will not be rivals anymore.
14 They will join forces to swoop down on Philistia to the west.
Together they will attack and plunder the nations to the east.
They will occupy the lands of Edom and Moab,
and Ammon will obey them.
15 The Lord will make a dry path through the gulf of the Red Sea.
He will wave his hand over the Euphrates River,
sending a mighty wind to divide it into seven streams
so it can easily be crossed on foot.
16 He will make a highway for the remnant of his people,
the remnant coming from Assyria,
just as he did for Israel long ago
when they returned from Egypt.

oh wow now im so excited at the thought i will get to see my childhood pets again

Jesus is supposed to come back for us on a white horse, isn't that what the book of Revelations says? Well, He has to get the horse from heaven's stables, doesn't He?

like the title says do pets get to go to heavean with us?

Some believe they do. Jack van Impe wrote a book to tell us that they do.

I am not sure. But I would not be surprised to find that they do

I dont know who would be looking after my dog "sooty" when we get to heaven.......me I guess.
